Maaaan. That money was raised like a leaf on the wind. So excited to watch them soar.

Also, I find it ironic that Felicia Day is gonna be on a show about a guy attending a convention. You know, since she said she hates guys who go to conventions.

When and where did she say this?

I tried to find something about her hating convention goers and got nothing.

Same here, and I've been following her awesome career ever since The Guild. She's an inspirational person, whether you're male or female, imo.

He's probably referring to this. Once the 4chan types go berserk and start targeting someone, they never stop; every time her name comes up, there's going to be someone climbing out of the woodwork to attack her. Nobody nurses a grudge like them.

Mentioning something about her that I think is peculiar != attacking her.

I didn't say you were attacking her! Obviously you might simply have been misinformed; the angry horde going after women like her tends to repeat a lot of lies and smears like those in hopes that some of them will stick, and I assume some people see those lies and don't think to follow up on the source.

But the point is, she's being attacked because she angered a horde of internet reactionaries by talking out about the way they were harassing women; that's where the stuff you heard about her ultimately originates. People like them hate being exposed, so they try to silence their critics by spreading lies and innuendo. The thing you thought was peculiar was indeed peculiar, because it was a lie; and because it was a lie, it was originally forged as an attempt to attack her character, even if it wasn't, you know, by you.

If it was an honest mistake on your part, well, that's fair! That happens all the time. It's not your fault -- it's hard to double-check things on the internet. But now you know why they were targeting her, and now you know better than to uncritically trust things you hear about her from 4chan and the like in the future. And going forward, when something seems peculiar, you should doubt it and double-check it from a more credible source, not repeat it uncritically on other forums -- that's how smear campaigns like the one she was talking about keep going.

I had come to the unfortunate conclusion it had something to do with that. I remember reading this excellent article written by self-professed gamer Arthur Chu, perhaps best known for appearing on Jeopardy, shortly after her privacy was violated.

I’m not “that creepy guy from the Internet”: How Gamergate gave the geek community a bad name
Really excellent article imo, and it highlights why this woman felt like she had to say something and even to explain her actions which, frankly, are no one's business but her own.

I cross the street when I see people wearing CoD shirts, too.

A truly excellent article. Those stuck in hate are difficult to bring out of it, however.

Nathan Fillion kind of looks like Nathan Drake.

He should star in an Uncharted movie too!

That's the next Indiegogo campaign. He'll change his last name to Drakkion and become two Nathans in one.

Looks neat.

Funny, there's a "why Indiegogo" section. I'm sure the answer is: because we weren't sure we'd reach the goal and wanted to get the money anyway.

Is there any particular reason they should not have thought they would reach the goal? And do these guys in particular have a history that would make you think they'd make a desperate cash grab?

I don't know why, but they must have feared they won't reach the goal and meant to make the best they could with any amount pledged. They wouldn't have created a flexible funding campaign otherwise, and flexible funding is the main reason people in countries supported by Kickstarer have for using Indiegogo over the more popular platform.

Becouse rich actors need money from fans to make something they probably allready have filmed and edited (Delivery July 2015, no way they will finish production of that many episodes in two months (since the "donations" end in April)....
now where is the "hell no" option on the pole?
