It's very annoying with large resolutions when half of the screen is empty.

Only problem is that all this does is shift everything so it is centered, so you still have half the screen empty.

That's how the old layout was and almost all websites. Look at this site for example. It just doesn't look as obvious when it's centered.

I run 1680-1050, not sure, looks ok...not the biggest resolution I guess.

Didn't really notice that it was lopsided until after seeing this. Only gripe with the script is that it centers the guide as well which makes it look out of place.

This tutorial is for those, who want the YT layout to be on the center of the webpage
For Firefox:
Open the browser, click on the Firefox button, and go to Add-on. It should open your Add-on Manager page.
Search for an extension called “GreaseMonkey 1.5” and click “install.” Then, restart your browser since it requires you to do so.
Click This Link and install your user script. Click “OK!” and reload YouTube.
For Google Chrome:
Open the browser, go to your Web Store and search for the extension Add-In called “TamperMonkey.” Click and install the add-in.
Click here and install your user script into your browser.
Reload your YouTube, and it will change your alignment from left to center.
