As an incentive to get you to subscribe for their monthly bundles, HB will now offer a 10% off (stackable) discount for all Store purchases.

Blog Post

  • Starting today (02/22/16), Humble Monthly subscribers receive 10% off all purchases in the Humble Store. Subscribe now to start saving!

  • In addition to getting a new selection of games every month, subscribing to Humble Monthly gets you 10% off all purchases in the Humble Store as long as you’re subscribed!

  • What does this include? Everything!

  • New releases, pre-orders, sale titles, classics – whatever it is, if it’s in the Humble Store, you can get it at 10% off!

  • Plus, you’re still supporting charity and developers, as the 10% off is courtesy of Humble, so developers and charities receive the same amount they’d usually earn.

  • Subscribe to Humble Monthly now to get ARK: Survival Evolved and next month’s bundle + 10% off all purchases in the Humble Store.

TLDR: This 10% off is stackable with current sales discounts ... BUT may not be combined with coupons.

  • This 10% discount is only available to active Humble Monthly subscribers and expires when a user unsubscribes.

  • The discount stacks multiplicatively.

  • You will see this 10% price discount at checkout

example of how store discount x 10% discount works

Total discount after 10% coupon applied: 66% --> 69.5%

Total price after discounts: $3.05

If you're already subscribed, they charge on the Friday preceding the first Friday of the next month (release day), so, in a non-leap year, the earliest that could happen is for a March monthly when 01 March is a Friday, making the charge date 02-22. This year, 01 April is a Friday, so the payment will be automatically deducted on 03-25 for subscribers who haven't prepaid for April.

10% isn't usually a very big discount, but when combined with the "build a ??? bundle out of selected games" discounts for 3-4 items, the additional 10% can make those build-a-bundle purchases very inexpensive (the deals to which I refer have occurred in the HB store over the past few or several days).

Right. I noticed that. That's why the increasing discount on more items helps. The current "roguelike2" charges $1.80 each for three $9.99 items (HM discount+80% off 3). Adding another $9.99 game (4 in all) makes each game $1.64 (HM+82%) and five $9.99 games are $1.35 each with a HM+85% off. The total price of the bundle can be reduced by changing one of the games to a $7.99 game (cost: $1.08) and one to a $4.99 game (cost: $0.67).

That's all I was pointing out... that the final game prices are reduced more than they would be otherwise. shrug :)

When you subscribe for the first time, you are charged immediately. Deferred payment is only for existing subscribers going into the next month.

Not a bad incentive. Not big enough to make it look like free candy, but a 1.1× multiplier on the discounts can push some games on sales to really lucrative territories for ROW people.
