And I would like you guys to tell me a story, make it a good one, and I want the story to be a mini psychological thriller. Just because I'm playing Alan Wake, It's a full copy of the beat the average bundle, also make sure to include your email at the end of your story.

EDIT: forget the email at the end, I'll just add the winner I pick on steam. Goodluck anyone who's trying.
EDIT 2: Thread will close exactly 1 hour after being opened, then my friend and I will read the stories together, and decide who will get the free copy.

The way gift copies of indie gala work, is that you have to mail it to the winner, so it gets put in their account, however, i can do this privatley for the winner through adding him/her on steam, so that'd prolly be better, i didn't fully think this out, i just want to get rid of this gift copy, and i might even buy more copies tomorrow.

I had an ex who had some trauma previously in her life, blamed herself for a death, heard her asking forgiveness (of the deceased person) all the time. Sometimes would sleepwalk and try to leave the room, wake up screaming, crying, etc.

Anyway, at some point I found out that this girl seemed to have multiple personalities. One would usually wake up about ten minutes before the other (normal) girlfriend. Problems were thus...

Early riser knew who I was, which is why it took me a little bit to catch on

Early riser was a genuinely happy person, who I honestly liked better than my actual gf.

Early riser was always horny.

These were problems because, my actual girlfriend (at the time), waking up in the middle of... stuff, was none to happy to discover it happening. Luckily, she apparently knew about this, so it didn't take much explaining to get the situation sorted out. From then on she just let me know that I should make absolutely sure she was awake.

Early riser started showing up more often. Eventually I became rather good at differentiating between the two by just looking at their smile. My SO's smile was usually fake, it hurt me to see. Early riser was always happy. However, I learned that early riser didn't take no for an answer when it came to morning time intimacy, which was obviously a problem. I figured out that by pretending to go along with it, and brushing her hair behind her ear as if I was about to kiss her, I could wake my ex up. For some reason behind her ear was like a wake up button. I employ this technique effectively for a while.

I'd like you to understand that all of this so far has been the build up, what comes next is what gives me an adrenaline rush to this day. Up until this point I didn't actually know that early riser was a separate individual, I had just assumed it was my ex being half-asleep and carefree in the morning.

One day early riser wakes me up trying to get some sexy times. I roll over smiling and begin to brush her hair back. She grabs my wrist... really hard. I stop. "What's wrong?"

"I don't wan't you to touch behind my ear"

slightly freaked out "Why not?"

"Because then you go away"

Cue realization crashing down around me. I got less adrenaline bungee jumping, I kid you not. I fumbled around stalling for time until my ex woke up.

Every time early riser would show up after that she would grab my wrist if I tried to go near her ear. Usually managed to find away to sneak my hand back there anyway. One day she didn't try to grab my wrist. I touched behind her ear... nothing. She smiled at me like she knew, I felt like my heart had stopped. I panicked a little bit and just shook my ex awake at that point. Didn't see as much of her (early riser) after that.

His arms crossed he sat pleased with his work. His crooked smile had amalgamations of stuff at the corner, noticeably white next to that distinctly yellow grin. His scruffy vest, half untucked from a pair of jeans, once blue, now grey, bore the stains of a man who had seen too much and done too little. His yellowed fingernails, expertly manicured with nicotine and crotch scratchings had finished rapping away at the keys like an avid woodpecker.

"Maybe this will do it..." he said, before cackling in that way only very sick, lonely people would.

"Oh! Sweet!" Little Timmy cried. "I always wanted a copy of Indie Gala Collosus! and all I have to do is send this guy a stupid story and my email address! This is easy!"

Timmy's excitement was rare. Ever since his father had died in that tragic accident that always seems to occur to the parents of kids in these kinds of stories, he had been a changed boy. The twinkle of youth, that all-too-short burning fire had been extinguished long before the fuel had depleted. It left him hollow, and full of volatility.

"Timmy, your dinner is ready!" came a voice from downstairs.

It was his mother, Jean. She, too, had lost something of herself since Timmy's father died. Her clothes became frumpy and ill fitting, her hair like something a gull would nest in and her attitude was meek. She lived for Timmy, and nothing else.

"Mum, you'll never guess what I've just seen. There's a strange man on the internet who wants to give me free games in exchange for my email address being displayed on a public forum!" Timmy roared with delight at his frumpy, borderline suicidal mother.

She replied "That sounds like a bloody stupid idea, close thread."

I live in a small house that I built myself just inside a canyon. I don't have any neighbors. No girlfriend or friend to come visit. Just me. I just stand and paint on the canyon walls that surround me. I only use red paint. Red is the only color I know. It's what runs inside. It's what surrounds me.

Today is a very hot and dry day. I haven't taken a sip of water from my canteen all day. I am dry. I'm so dry that there isn't a bead of sweat on me. I start to feel light headed. I reach down for my canteen, but nothing is there. I could have sworn that I brought it with me. I must have dropped it on my way. I'm going to have to walk back home to get a drink. I leave my paint buckets because I'll be right back. I arrive home, fill-up my canteen and get a nice cold glass of water. As I'm walking back to my spot in the canyon I notice a trail of red paw prints leading away south. I then look over at my paint cans and they have been knocked-over. Red paint covers the ground. I go to take a closer look at the paw-prints and realize they must belong to a dog. I must find this dog.

I'm not mad at this dog because it's just an animal. It doesn't know any better. I don't know why, but I just have this strange pulling at my soul to find this dog. I continue to follow the dog's red paw-prints. I walk past the all of the murals that I have painted over the years. All red. The paw-prints eventually lead to a passage out of the canyon. I've never been outside of this canyon... but I have strange feeling that I have. The land is flat for miles. Only a few stray tumble weeds and cacti. There is a slight breeze that kicks up some dust. The dogs red paw-prints still continue. I follow them for what feels like hours. I am thirsty again and I reach down for my canteen, but it is gone. I don't know why, but I don't turn back to go home. I MUST find this dog. I start to feel light-headed, but this doesn't slow me down. I look up at the sun and doesn't look like it has shifted at all since I began following this dog. I walk for a few more hours and I'm feeling like I might collapse at any second and there he is. The dog. I fall to the ground. I'm crawling now. I MUST get to that dog. I finally reach the dog. He is a dirty reddish-brown dog, probably medium height. I don't know the breed. I reach-out and pet the dog. He turns around and looks at me. I no longer have the strength to lift-up my head. I'm going to die here. The dog lays next to my side. He is warm. I love this dog. A smile crawls across my face and then I die.

I wake-up. I live in an gray apartment in with my mom and dad. I have millions of neighbors. No girlfriend or friends to come and visit me. I just go to school, do my work, and head home. Gray is the only color that I know. It's what runs inside me. It's what surrounds me.

I'm walking towards school when I check my pocket for my phone. It's not there. I need my phone to call my parents. I don't feel safe in this city. I turn around and start to run home to grab my phone. I run inside and grab my phone off my desk and start out the door. On my way back to school I notice some red paw-prints. They feel familiar. I've never cut school in my life, but I think I might just this once to investigate these paw-prints. They lead down an alley. I follow them.

I have this feeling on my soul that I'm being pulled to follow this dog. I MUST follow this dog. These red paw-prints stand out amongst all this gray. This paw-prints lead me to a bridge that crosses a large river. I continue down the bridge. The bridge connects to a large highway. The red-paint dog-prints continue beside this highway. I've never left this city, but it excites me. On my own. The dog's prints follow a small branching road. I continue to follow them. I look at my phone to check the time. 11:54 P.M. I follow this road for miles when I come upon a green grass field. It's flat for miles. I continue to follow the dog's prints. I continue for hours and then I see him. The dog. I get so excited. I run towards him. I finally reach him. He is a reddish-brown dog. This all feels familiar. It's like I've done this before, but in a different setting. I reach down and pet him. He turns and around wags his tail. I have found my friend. My companion.

Not really a thriller, but I hope you liked it!

So, one day I walked into a store. Over at the other end of it, I saw this girl. Couldn't have been older than 12. She was looking in a glass case.. very intensely. So intensely, it freaked me out a little. I decided to ignore it and continued my storetime escpades. Well, when I went over to an aisle by her, she started screaming loudly. The storekeep tried to find out what was wrong, but she kept screaming. She then threw open the case's doors, and reached in to a pot that was in it. She pulled out something that looked like a knife. She threw it on the ground, and it exploded. We were all blinded by the light spewing out from the exploded knife.

While we were blinded, the girl started howling. When we regained our sight, the girl looked like a shadow. Completely darkened (think Limbo-style), except for piercing yellow eyes. She looked over at me, then the storekeep. We didn't know what to do. Surely someone heard her loud noises or the explosion, and called the cops!

We couldn't wait for that. The storekeep tried to talk the girl down, but she kept howling like a maniac. She approached the storekeep, looked him dead in the eye, and then they both looked at me. I stood still, not sure how to handle the situation. Suddenly, the girl pulls at what looks like a mask, and rips the shadow off her completely. She laughs and says "I hoped you enjoyed this little show! Come see us tomorrow night at the __ _____ theater!". She and the storekeep laughed a little.

I was amazed. Everything seemed so real. I didn't know what to think. They apologized for scaring me (out of my mind) with a $10 voucher to the store, and I left. I looked back in the window, and realized I made all of this up.

Yep, none of this ever happened. Or did it?!

It didn't.

So you are, my dumpling. And a good one at that. Such strong legs and shapely tail.

Fear not. You are safe here with me.

t was a normal day for Johnny the Homicidal Maniac; homicide and murder. Yet something felt strange. Well, stranger than usual for the maniac, he had kept his wall wet with blood so the monster didn't escape from it and there wasn't much for him to do.
It was a dark night, black clouds hiding out the moon's gaze and the street lamp's glare seemed so very faint and distant from the next as a cool, quiet whistle for a breeze traveled around Johnny's quiet neighbourhood.
He sat in his room, quietly on the end of his bed, his thumps twirling with one another as he imagined something to do as he felt his day had not been fully completed.

After a while he simply climbed further up his bed and laid his head on his pillow, closing his dark eyes. Hours past as the maniac slept quietly in his room.

After a few hours a creek was heard throughout Johnny's home to which he paid no attention to. He laid simply on his side, away from his door, eyes closed and gently breathing. Almost as if this was normal for him.

Footsteps could be heard if anyone was listening as they proceeded through the house before slowly creeping up the stairs. Each step making a quiet creek after the other.

It wasn't long before the steps found their way to Johnny's door, a dark shadow could be seen from the cracks at the bottom of the frame emitting off something or someone.

The door began to open slowly and the dark room was filled by a darker shadow; it invited itself in and began to creep towards the bed where Johnny was laying.

The feet found themselves to the bottom of the bed as it appeared that Johnny had not even pulled the sheets over himself and simply laid there. Now on his back with his arms either side of his head Johnny looked amazingly solemn for a man who kills people everyday.

The intruder began to crawl his way up the bed, his legs separating Johnny and beginning to trap him underneath his figure. It was as Johnny felt a breath on his face his eye's opened to the white face of Jeff the Killer.

Johnny looked over his features, noticing Jeff's joker like smile, noseless face and burned off eyelids. It was at this moment Jeff groaned out sadistically.

"Go to slee--."

He was interrupted by the fist of Johnny causing Jeff's body to fly off him and land on the floor infront of Johnny's bed.

Johnny grabbed a nearby blade in his drawers and ran off his bed, lunging for a stab towards the Killer. Jeff rolled out the way causing the knife of the Maniac to impale through the floor boards, getting stuck as Johnny pulled on it to break it free.

Before Johnny could a grab around his neck and a knee into his gut caused him to let go of his blade and meet into a wall on his side with the Killer's smile in his now blurring vision.

As Johnny met the floor Jeff shouted out.

"I told you to go to sleep!"

Jeff's foot began to swing backwards before swinging forward int Johnny's hand as he caught it. He pulled on it, causing the Killer to meet with the floor; in arms length of the Maniac's nearby blade.

Johnny climbed onto Jeff's body, his foot resting on his chest, almost pinning him down. Jeff swiped at Johnny's leg. A cut was made in the leg of Johnny.

"Fuck!"

Johnny screamed out, grabbing onto his new wound. Slouched over, wincing in pain Johnny found a blade heading towards his forehead, he reached with his spare hand, gripping the wrist of the Killer tightly.

Jeff began to chuckle out.

"You're fun, friend. Putting up a struggle like this."

Johnny simply glared into the white, always grinning face of the Killer before growling out.

"It's only a struggle when I'm scared of death."

Jeff's foot connected with Johnny's spine, launching him off his body and landing on his hands and knees. Jeff quickly climbed to his feet, turning to the Maniac as Johnny slowly stumbled onto his.

The Killer ran towards Johnny, wrapping his arm around Johnny's neck, gripping it, causing Johnny to gasp. With the blade in plain sight above them for both to see. Jeff then taunted out.

"Should've gone to sleep when I said."

The blade began to make a direct course with Johnny's chest, going for the heart to end this conflict.

Johnny made his final attempt to struggle back, grabbing the Killer's wrist once more to stop the blades course. Yet a cold feeling began to run over Johnny. Lurking up his spine before a warm sensation began to run on his chest; he was bleeding.

The Maniac managed to fight back, removing the blade from where it had struck, pushing himself forwards from the grip of the Killer and yanking the blade from his hand.

Johnny swung the blade across Jeff's white face, scarring it open more from the nose up through his eye and upon his forehead. With the Killer screaming in pain Johnny pushed him towards the closed window behind them causing Jeff to hit it with a loud thud; a crack was made.

As Jeff pulled himself off from the cracked glass his eye looked before him to find the foot of Johnny going directly towards his chest. With a solid hit Johnny kicked Jeff in his gut sending Jeff backwards through the window falling to the cold ground below.

Johnny walked over to his window and looked over, watching the red puddle under the figure of Jeff. His long black hair now more apparent in his blood.

Johnny climbed into where the window once was, not yet satisfied. Gripping the blade tightly he launched himself through the window, dropping towards the Killer's body.

The blade connected through Jeff's chest, Johnny's feet digging deep into his gut squeezing out the final, silent breath. Johnny twisted the blade in the corpse's chest before yanking it out.

He climbed off the dead body, looking down onto it with his dark eyes. Johnny then began to drag the body inside his home. As he closed the door behind himself he looked down to the dead Killer and explained.

"Your blood will be used to keep the monster at bay."

So, you want a story? fine!

Now, this is the story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of school
When a couple of guys
Who were up to no good
Startin making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suite case and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait, I hear the prissy, bourgeois and all that
Is this the type of place that they should send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air

Well uh, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet.
I just got here!
I sprang with the quickness, like lightening disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say is that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Man forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel-Air'

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked to my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

Totally not copied out.

I literally posted this in a different post like 10 minutes ago. Story is real btw.

OK. So my twin bro and I were playing Twisted Metal: Black at night, alone, while everyone that lived with us were working. I think we were 13 or 14 at the time. All of a sudden our neighbor that lived in the second floor(apartment) Somehow made the glass from her window fall down to our open window so her glass broke but not ours. The noise scared the shit out of us since we were already a little scared because of Twisted Metal:Black. All of a sudden the lady goes running downstairs and goes outside and pokes through the window and yells "Sorry" to us. We freak out and run into our room and I manage to get a knife in case I had to cut a bitch. She tried getting in through the window but she was too fat, then she started going to every window at our home and kept yelling "sorry" while knocking hard on our windows. I try calling my sister who lives right across from us, luckily I remembered her number and got it right the first time I dialed. So I told her what was happening and she poked out her window and saw the woman, she thought it was my other sister for some reason(XD). She calls out to her and the woman quickly turns around and yells "Sorry". Then we just wait for her to leave and my sister goes and sneaks us out and end up sleeping a few hours at her place until my big bro comes home from work. He calls my sister asking her where did we go. She tells him everything and eventually he goes and brings us back home(still dark). But before he called my sister my bro already called the police because she was going crazy or something but they just tell her not to cause trouble anymore. So while we are walking back home she poked out her broken window and laughs at us all crazy because the cops just left her with a warning. Then we call the cops again and we just see lights coming from her window because of all the cops with flashlights and hear her screams. The police took her away and later we found out that she was a little "mental" and the guy that lived with her, who was not home at that time, was responsible for her.

Also, there was this one time where a crazy guy was trying to stab us with a screwdriver, but that's a different story. lol

This may seem like just another random thought up story to you and I don't really blame you for thinking so, since if I were you, I would not believe it either.

You see, I had a friend, a good chap who was always curious about supernatural stuff. He would walk around looking for things and trying to convice us that there is something more, something hidden behind the curtain. As much as we liked him, we always laughed at him for making stuff up and we did not need to go far for a prank or two.

It was couple of years ago, when we were all having a party in an old, abandoned cabin, me, him and our friends, when we have pulled off another of those pranks. There was a cellar, gloomy a dusty place full of stuff noone touched for years. We have told him, that the previous owners of the cabin died here 50 years ago. It was more like an urban legend, according to it, the youngest child was possesed by something, even thought the official sources stated that it suffered brain collaps, and killed his whole family in the cellar. Anyway, we have made him go down there and have a look around, but as foolish as we were, we have locked him there, kept on partying and completely forgot about it. Noone knows, what happened down there, but when we opened the cellar in the morning, the door was scratched all over from inside, the scratches were from his fingernails. He was sitting there, next to the doors with his fingers bleeding and clothes wet from his tears, sweat and blood. We were terrified, clueless about what happened there, but we had yet to find out just how much it changed him, whatever it was.

In the following years all of my friends, who were at the party kept mysteriously dissapearing, without anyone knowing their whereabouts. I was obviously also concerned, but never found out anything, at least up until now. Now I know what happened, when I look into his face, twisted from insanity, as he comes to me with another knife in his hand, my blood dripping down from it. I guess that this is the end of my story. I'm sorry.
