Guess what? I took some of my spare money and bought a new laptop. That would be an HP Pavilion dv6-6b57er. Finally, something that can run it.

Let's celebrate!

Edit: any suggestions on what else to try?

Just Cause 2 runs great, lags a little during the cutscenes.
Skyrim runs a little smoother.
GTA 4 now downloading...

No overheating at all.

Yes... That Hydrophobia has been around in my inventory for some time, and I thought I might as well give it to you guys =)

And no, I still have some money left.

Have fun with your new pc! Try out Magicka (with friends preferably!) since it seems you haven't played it at all!
(For some reason I totally misunderstood the title, it wasn't misleading just my brain not working.)

I played some single player in offline mode. Will try convincing friends to join in multiplayer...

Someone else with a laptop! <3

Don't know what genres interest you most, but when I got my new laptop I tried out pretty much anything I could: Sonic Generations, Portal 2, Metro 2033, Darksiders, Serious Sam 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Just Cause 2 (saw you mentioned that already though), Dungeon Defenders, Mount & Blade: Warband, Dungeon Siege III (it's not bad IMO, but I haven't played 1 or 2), Burnout Paradise, L.A. Noire... well, I could go on and on with this. lol But all of those can be pretty fun, depending on your tastes.

Nice new laptop =) and my suggestions would be Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Legend of Grimrock both games I enjoyed immensely as well as skyrim.

Hydrophobia reminds me of rabies. Anyway, if you're serious about graphic and gaming you should get a desktop.

Tht's a decent laptop, i'd recommend you get yourself Max Payne 3.

depends what you want to try - a game that your previous machine couldnt run and that is fun or a game that will challenge your new machines capabilities. im not saying that there arent games that do both things at once, but i mean while legend of grimrock is awesome, it certainly isnt the right game for testing your machine.
