Do you like it? Discuss!

I personally think it will take a while to get used to but it certainly feels more modern and it doesn't look too bad... Fortunately the next sale is in one month (right?) so we have plenty of time to get the hang of it! :D

Its basically the old one with new features... the blue tho, not a fan. Really like that they changed the metacritic score for the positive steam review percentage in the overview. THIS tho "Changed ‘New Releases’ to ‘Popular New Releases’ to filter out less popular titles and provide a more functional release list." is just stupid... why would steam shit on less popular developers who really needed that front page coverage...

It's sad to see a bunch of little shits already ruining the 'mentor' feature.

That's why we can't have nice things

I think it's great, the old Steam UI was kind of annoying and this is making everything more visible. Generally I'm not in favour of just flattening everything but it works brilliantly here.

Eh, I'm not overly fond of it. I'm someone who likes things to look good. It doesn't need to 'display everything'. If I need to find something, I'd look for it myself. The new Steam UI seems like it's trying to shove things that are not games into my face. Also it's a little weird that the homepage is the only thing that changed. Too much blue, too confusing to me.

Maybe I'll get used to it after a few days, but right now, I'm browsing Steam skins. (Pressure looks really good as well. Too bad it's not released yet)

Not a fan of the blue. I'm also not a fan of the upcoming tab, I preferred it where you could go through the 10 pages on steam's front page instead of needing to go to a new page to see past the 10 new releases they show on the front page.

I do like the "In library" feature. And I just saw "On Wishlist" too. Really the only reason I used enhanced steam because of that sort of feature.

There are some other nice features too. I hope we will be able to remove, or it will go away on its own, "explore your queue" and "steam curators". I'm not a fan of being recommended things on the front page but I can live with it, over time.

I've always been using Steam DB for the upcoming releases. That's more detailed than what is shown in the store, because you will see games that are not yet purchasable, etc...

I don't mind the layout but the colour scheme needs work. It's like they couldn't make up their mind and pissed blue all over the store front.

Not liking all that blue, I'd much rather have plain black. I don't understand the point of curators, there's already user reviews. I doubt anyone really needs to know what some hotshot thinks of the game when there are lot of users already doing the same thing. And why is the daily deal so low on the page.

Since I was about to write pretty much the same thing, I'll just go and say I agree with pretty much everything himohillo wrote :)

yeah but user reviews are total BS.

"I opened the crate and found a sword
12/10 GOTY "

unoriginal and it goes against the point of reviews.

The joke reviews are bullshit and no way helpful. It's stupid how they always get the top spots when someone else who actually put effort into reviewing the game is stuck with little to no attention.

exactly, and people ALWAYS think they are funny.

I've seen literally thousands of comments on Steam saying "wow, best review" or "so funny". Seriously, people have such no standards.

At least they're trying. There have been a lot of complaints lately about shitty games flooding Steam, at least over time this might help filter the better games to the top of the pile for people who don't know what they're looking for.

After testing out the new recommendation system I found a few new games to add to my wishlist, so I'm already seeing some benefit.

I don't like it. At all. Too bright, to colorful, please Steam, KEEP IT DARK!
And these "curator" thing, I don't get at all either. Seems pointless, but I don't mind it.

You can customize it so I don't mind. Also how often do you stare at the store page for it to matter anyway?
