Really weird, given that I've never played any games that even could have cheats. Glad it's gone now, but that was bizarre.

Was just browsing the Steam Sale when all of the store pages started telling me I was VAC banned and I would not be able to play the multiplayer portion of the game if I bought it (even on single player games).
Obviously I panicked... don't even play games on-line much but as a part time games journalist I need to review multiplayer games for my site and as this steam account has over 2.5k games I do not fancy starting a new one.
Checked my account settings.... hhmmm... good standing.... not VAC banned......
Checked a VAC search tool online.... ok not VAC banned..... WTF!?
5 minutes later the warning message on every steam page disappears.... leaving me with a still slightly racing heart and a half written email to Valve's customer support asking why the hell I was VAC banned when the last multiplayer game I played was about 3 weeks ago and I sure as hell didn't cheat.
Anyone else have this happen to them? or was t just for some bizarre reason my account?
