I've traded for and with steam keys just fine. Couple times me going first (after I saw they were legit) and sometimes them going first. I never had to ask "YOU GO FIRST" or "NO YOU GO FIRST" in any of these trades.

There's plenty of legit traders who trade keys.

Half the key is as useful as no key, why would you be content with half the key?

You won't trust key trades ever again? God, you even admitted it was your fault for not checking his account before doing the trade >.<

In my opinion, the person that goes first should be the one with a CD-key. Whenever I trade CD-keys, I always go first, regardless of rep (unless the rep of the other trader is severely low).

Try to be more careful next time you trade, check every bit of info you can about the other trader.
