red faction armaggedon? I think I have an unused spare key for that, I'd message it to you in steam but its messing me about.

That would be very nice if you did, but its your choice. :P

Ive not tried it yet, Ive been playing guerrilla the other red faction game, that is very good. I expect this one is similar. If you are having any better luck with steam, you could try adding me.

Here's TotalBiscuit's first impressions of Armaggedon.
Didn't play either but I heard they're a bit different. Similar destroying everything fun, but Guerrilla is kind of open world and Armaggedon is linear.

FWIW, I much prefer guerilla to Armageddon. Armageddon is a cover / corridor shooter with some destructible landscape, guerilla (as you know) is open world, has better missions, it has human enemies with guns (in my opinion that's better than aliens that you're fighting in armageddon)

If metal is your favourite music genre (or at least one of them), Brutal Legend is definitely for you. Sure it's a good game, but it contains much more interesting things for metalheads then for anyone else.

DARK isn't good. It looks like it was made in 2006, it's gameplay mechanics are simple. Although it's visual style isn't bad, I must say there are 2D games with better animation. So if you're VtM fan, this game may be fine for you. If not, I doubt you can find something interesting in it.

Alright, well DARK looks pretty fun to me and even though I don't like vampire games I do like the stealth genre games. And thanks for explaining brutal legend, I'll think about removing it

Once again I'll link TotalBiscuit's video about it. Haven't seen this video myself, but I think his series is great for a "Should I buy this or not?" situation.

Isn't it easier to google gameplay videos as opposed to looking for some third grade British twat farting all around trying to sound funny, ironic, sarcastic and original while failing miserably at all of it?

i don't really watch total becuase I'm not a fan but I'll check it out

Well most gameplay videos on Youtube has someone doing a commentary about it. And it's either trying to be funny or informative.
TB is always trying to be objective and informative in his WTF seires in my opinion. He's trying to help people decide if this game is for them.

I think everyone else are the funny, ironic etc... But again just what I think. Of course I could be wrong and there's some better videos.

If you're after Sonic, go for the Sonic Collection. Even when it's not on sale, it's still cheaper than if you bought all the Sonic games at 75% off.

We seem to have similar taste in games.

I own most of your list and have 2-3 wishlisted.

  • vvvvvv and cave story are both good.
  • puppygames bundle would have been good at 75% off I really enjoy ROTT. Ultratron and Titan Attacks are both kind of repetitive but pretty fun, very arcadey.
  • Bastion is good, definitely worth a play through.
  • Half minute hero is good if you're into classic jrpgs.
  • Reus was fun but I can't find myself dedicating 2 hours to it very often and hate saving midgame and coming back.
  • Gunpoint didn't grab me [wasn't how I imagined]
  • sonic & all stars transformed is the best kart racer; if you haven't played the classic games they're worth a once-through, not spectacular but still quite good, and their 3d from adventure on is pretty fun -- I don't care for generations 2d or #4 - the bundle always goes on sale for $30 for all the sonic games [totally worth it].
  • avoid shanks cause its bad
  • scriblenauts is kinda okay but even at the sale price the novelty wears off pretty quick

I must say that Bastion, Reus (still on my backlog but seen my friend play it once), Gunpoint(on my wishlist), and Tomb Raider 2013 (Play it on console) are great games and definitely worth to play.

Bastion is definitely worth buying. Brings back SNES nostalgia.

Tomb Raider 2013 is a must have.

RAGE, this game was average at best. On PC it suffers major graphical tears and load lag, unless it's been patched since launch. It was an alright story to play through once. But the side quests are devoid of any thought and just make you wish the game was over with. As for the fights, it's just like any other run of the mill shooter. Get a gun, point and shoot.

Tropico 4, if you're into micromanaging cities and all of it's inhabitants, than this is it. Don't like your people rallying against you? Kill them off. Need to get better notoriety after a scandal? Bribe your way to the top. Or, be the most upstanding ruler you wish to be, it's quite fun. Although the music may start to wear at you after a few hours of listening to it loop.

Skip Forge and Little Inferno. Also I'd personally skip the old school sonic games. While they are fun, it just doesn't feel right and I would stick with Generations.

Definite vote for Spec Ops, I just finished it and it's an excellent game! A bit on the short side (easily done in 8 hrs), but very atmospheric and full of top notch voice acting.

Those are the ones I have played:
-LA Noire - very good, some aspects could have been better, but overall recommended
-Blades of Time - finished it a couple of days ago... meh, there are many better games on your list, don't need to bother with it (I only have it cause of CD-Action and played it cause Steam Roulette told me so). It wasn't necessarily bad (if you like slashers), but pathetic dubbing, tons of bugs, not fun puzzles bring the game down a bit. But fights and most of the bosses are pretty good.
-Brutal Legend - check the game's soundtrack on Wikipedia - if you dig it, you'll love the game.
-Swords and Soldiers HD - the most simplistic RTS game ever! But, that being said, it's pretty fun, actually.
-VVVVVV - Oh God, I love that platformer. Extremely fun - difficult, but not frustrating.
-Spec Ops - recommended as well, plot is as good as everyone says (and I did like the gameplay on its' own as well)
-Shank - that game was also pretty neat, though not for everyone.
-Revenge of the Titans - solid TD.
-Prototype - played it a long time ago, was fun.
-Cave Story + - maybe a bit overrated, but still - it's a very good platformer.

I really liked DMC so I'll say yes to it, you should totally get it

Also I've heard that DARK is a horrible, horrible, horrible, game, with dead AI, and bad animations, so you should probably stay away from it
