Get ready to face a "friendly" community.

Game is extremely fun and challenging. However the community isn't that awesome, especially when it seems that it consists of russian douches only. Don't want to sound racist or anything, I was born there too, but I just hate to play with or against russians.

There are of course awesome people too. Like I had a match some hours ago and we pretty much nuked the other team with our teamplay, instantly friended up and pawned more people together :D

I was excited about that game since i've been playing dota for some years. (Also the original from Starcraft, "Aeon of Strife")
Then after watching some matches with the spectator client, i deleted it.

It's full of kids flaming eachother, every second word in basically every match i watched was either "bitch" "noob" "stfu" etc. etc.
Also there was a real shitstorm over everybody who was new to the game, own team flaming newbies instead giving tips on how to get better.

I never seen such a "nice and helpfull" community before, i guess i can live without that.

once you get past the steep learning curve it can really grow on you and become fun to play i cant put it down. But yeah the community sucks :( something im hoping gets smoothed out somehow i know valve can do it :D

Eh, it doesn't really matter what nationality a person is if they're an asshole. I've personally experienced more English-speaking ragers than any other language.
The community is infamous for it's unfriendly community but that's usually because it's the bad experiences that stick out. The toxicity problem isn't as common as everyone makes it out to be. There are lots of friendly people in the game, but they're overshadowed by a few ragers.

The learning curve will takes months to get through though. Be prepared to invest lots of time into the game before you can be considered "not bad" :)
