How often do people "train" invite only giveaways off of other giveaways?
I wrote long, meaningfull message, and then I realize that I didn't understand your question -.-
Well, anyway, since I'm picky about GAs I enter, I don't really frequent public GAs, so I can't tell. I found some GAs hidden in public GAs, but not many :P Does that soemhow help? ;)
BTW, according to how much users actually read descriptions, especially in public GAs, I think it's more an anti-'enter only user' protection, than bot protection :P

For those unable to google it themselves:

Rarely I think, since, ideally, you would need a second copy of the game. Making a giveaway for a very bad game with a link to a good game isn't perfect, since you would be excluding all the people who either already have that bad game or have no interest in it, while they might be interested in the good game.

So far all my trains (that is, all two) are hidden, and it's not going very well. Two wagons haven't reached 5 entries yet.
On a separate but somehow-related note - my experiment with giveaways only for "awesome Level 0 users" has been an utter failure, with both giveaways getting only 2 entries. Both are for games with very good reviews that no-one on the group owns. Go figure.
I think I'm going to try other experiments soon. I just need to wait for giveaway slots to become available again. Currently they're all used (why does SG impose this limit?)

T_T sorry! I just can't make myself enter >.<
Also, I'm not sure why there is a limit after a while. It seems pointless, especially because there's a cap on non-devs of 100 giveaways/24 hrs.

Some just enjoy being cryptic and secretive, others defy lazyness, others just want to world the see burn---wait what?
and potato, because it's an experiment, for cience! portal, in case you didn't catch that one :P
ps. absolutely no giveaway train hidden in your thread, not sure if I'm sad or dissapointed, or just forgot to take my pills :P

To prevent laziness. To hide from Bots.
Because I like watching people suffer try.

Every so often I stumble across an invite only giveaway in another giveaway. Based on other forums threads I know some of them are anti-botting experiments. I was wondering how often people do this and how they decide what games to chain off each other?
Me personally, I would create a public giveaway for a really bad game, and then hide a good game inside it with a link.
(Then again good/bad game is a relative term)
Just curious.
I'm certainly not attempting to promote a hidden giveaway or anything.
Have a good week.
