Scripts yes, home key not so much. The home key is only useful if you want to return to the top of the page but not if you want to view/access something there and then continue from where you were.

like Zoey said there is SG++ as well as numerous other scripts that add that feature (among others).
i recommend heading over to Sigherys Add-On Registry and picking out whichever script/scripts you want.
personally i use RevilHearts rhSGST for that feature (among others).
BarefootMonkey has a script that only does that too, if that is the only feature you want added.

Hi, I think it would be great if the bar at the top of the web site would be fixed at the top of the screen, to make navigation between section easier if the user have scrolled the page down.
