From what Gabe has said, and so far as he shown. He wont be selling it. So unless something happens to him, I doubt Valve will be sold to any company. As is a deal from EA was turned down. ( As well as a few others from what I understand )

Don´t get me wrong, I hate facebook with all my heart, and I´m proud to say I never visited their website even once.I think the whole idea of fb is horrible.
If friends ask me if they could check their fb real quick on my computer, I tell them to go buck themselves.
The day fb bought whatsapp, I stopped using it and went back to sms. (Not because I was afraid fb could get my data, they got that when they bought WA, but because I don´t want to be an active fb "customer".)
But if they´d ever buy Steam (may Lord GabeN prevent), I´d pretty much accept the fact that I´m screwed.

Steam has said many times they will never sell/be sold to anyone. They make far too much money to ever mess with that system. Oculus Rift on the other hand? RIP.
