A story about a guy who's car has broken down, looking to find somebody to repair it. He finally finds somebody, but it's revealed at the end of the story that he has found a baker (who is useless for fixing cars). The car is a metaphor for your homework and...well, you can figure out the rest.

So I have to write a 5 page short story for school. I need your help with ideas to write about. I have an idea in mind, but I want to see what ideas you all have. I want to write about something dark, but not one that's just all blood and gore and stuff. I also like writing metaphors, which is great to combine with a dark story. If I get crappy ideas, I have the backup one, but I bet a few of you here have some nice ideas. Thanks!
And if you're wondering, my idea is a story about a guy who gets hit by a car and dies, but the reader doesn't know about that happening until the very end, sort of like "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge".
