Well, i have curiosity about the story behind nick's, because i found them very interesting, some of them can be very deep.

In my case i had an old nick called "nicodragon" (because i am a big fan of dragons and medieval themes) but when one account of mine got hacked i decided to create another one with other nick. Since nicodragon was taken, i decided to use originalnicodragon, but it was to longuer, so i decided to use originalnicodr.

I hope your story would be more interesting than mine hahaha

Your name always had a WTF factor for me, so the randomness makes sense now. ;)

Well mine isn't a big mystery either. If you go to my profile, you'll see my full name, but now it's enough if you know, that my first name is Roland. My stepfather always called me Rolóca (yeah that is an o with an accent, it's called long o, and that c really is a c, not k), but since a lot of hungarian characters, such as áéíöőúüű are not allowed in e-mails, I had to change it to Roloca. After that, I started using it everywhere, and that's what I use if it's not taken.

Mine is taken from my first name and first letter of my last name. It means mother in Polish and some guy from Finland told me that it means journey in his language.

"Kap" is a nickname I've had since junior high school, but it was already taken when I signed up here, so this is the next best thing. Feel free to call me Kap. ;)

Basically this guy here http://hokuto.wikia.com/wiki/Ry%C5%ABga (a minor character from Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star)

I've been a fan of HnK since I was a child and Ryuga was my favorite character (though he appears only in 5-6 episodes).

I picked that name because it floated in my head. My real life friends hate that, and they even try to beat me down just for having it.
Well,i decided to not tell secrets(and giving free stuff)to friends. Because they ruined my secrets and now shame me on streets calling that name and people get crazy after hearing it.

You can call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner. :B1:
...That was a joke, you're supposed to be dying from laughter right now, not hovering over a spoilered text.

My former nick was Megatheria (derived from Megatherium, a genus of prehistoric giant ground sloth) -- fits my lifestyle :P
My recent nick is Biowizard -- fits my profession (may or may not also be a fume hood brand)

TL' DR: It's Arabic.

So, back in 1994 (or was it '95?), there was an experimental game arcade full of sit-down cabinets with flight controls and triple screens and they ran Battletech in the entire place. Basically, you climb into one of these booths, start up your giant robot, and fight against other people doing the same thing. Nowadays, we have multiple online, battletech games, and you can buy the fancy controllers, but back then, this was pretty high-tech and therefore expensive. At $20 an hour to play, it didn't take long for them to go out of business. Getting back to the topic, however, you needed a call-sign for your mech account. I thought about what I wanted to be called, and decided it should be something meaningful. I didn't just want something unique, I wanted my call-sign to make a statement. So, I picked "Khalaq." It comes from the Arabic verb, "khaalaqa," which means "he was created," and is tied to my religious beliefs.

Well, this nick is because my first thought was this steamgifts thing is a total scam and I didn't want to use my real name. A friend of mine would play TF2 and other games on my PC and use the name vick based on her middle name of Victoria but not wanting people to know she's a girl. Except vick was taken so i went with victor...which was also taken...so i tried vicktor and here we are. I should change this sometime...

My Steam name is [iSk]Pariah. The Pariah is from when a buddy had an e-fed and I needed a name for a loner character I came up with all by myself without any other ideas from anywhere else entering my brain. I was going to use the names Sting or The Crow, but neither of those really fit that type of character, so I went with Pariah. (An e-fed thing wrestling fans used to do in the late 90's to the early 00's when wrestling was big. We'd pretend to be wrestlers and write promos then the guy in charge would write up matches to go with it...yeah...I know. You did stupid stuff when you were in high school too!) The clan tag me and a couple friends came up with in physics class. It means i Suck, since we seemed like we sucked because most of the time we'd just fool around and not play too seriously. Everyone else has moved on to new clans but I'm keeping it alive! Mainly because there's other Pariahs and I don't want to change my name or come up with another way of writing Pariah :P

Sadly there is another Pariah on steamgifts that hasn't been online for 2 years :( I could use the full [iSk]Pariah, except I'm not sure if we can use [] Plus it would see kind of awkward, I've not seen anyone else use tag on steamgifts.

  2. ep!c - that's how I was called (or rather my game style/skill) back in time when I was playing Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. (using it 7 years now) <primary nick>

interesting fact: some pro player started to insult me in CS GO calling that I'm kid because I have "!" in my nick :P

When I was about 10-12 I started reading the Warrior Cat's books and I decided I wanted to make a cat OC called ShadowEar. Through many rp's with said character my cat ended up having it's ears bitten off by some other cat and it ended up being a running joke. From then on out i've been ShadowNoEar and it's stuck throughout my years before and now during gaming.

My nicknames also include Shadaw and Saviour and Lord of The Kittens. I swear I'm not 3.
