I'm afraid this requires too much of work or something. In the past bundled games used to have asteriks next to them while creating the giveaway (which was very helpful imo). Now it's not here anymore, sadly. I wish that came back so I could know if the game is bundled or not.
A thing I'd love to see actually would be a possibility to create giveaways for free games but those would have 0 points to enter, completely 0 CV gained for gi veaway creator etc. Yeah, yeah... I know it's not gonna happen either :P

Just add a new tab in giveaways for special free-game giveaways. There are still people out there who don't own these games, and there are still people out there who have extra codes. Why keep having new threads made just to dump codes, and be gone within the first second of posting it when we could be entering more giveaways. Have the entrance fee free or little cost and have the reward value little to none.

Last time I checked, the reason for the prevention of freebie posting, even for 0 points was that the server couldn't handle the sudden loads. Just look at the front page sometimes when a non-bundled game gets a pricing error somewhere: there can be a hundred new active GAs running in the first hour, before even the general public hears about it.
I would support zero-point GAs, but I think as long as the site wants to stay on this server capacity, it can hardly be a good thing. At least when a massive giveaway happens here, the developers or their proxies post them in bulk keys feature giveaways, not as thousands of separate ones.

Or maybe SG could give the possibility of giving away free games, but giving no reward to the user that creates the GA.
We're donating it, no matter the reward, the principle is this...otherwise some games that maybe are no more free would go to waste if who possess them doesn't like them :D

people that create a GA thinking their game is unbundled and later find out that it's retroactively added to the bundle list will be furious.

Sure, but people almost never read rules, FAQ or anything, but a giant alert appearing in from of them, after they do something, is much more likely to warn them.
Anyway, that's why I said "minimize the problem", not "stop the problem". I was being realistic!

On the topic of big red alerts, I still wish there was an alert that reminds me people regifting isnt allowed when the space cat gif pops up. After watching that archive of games created for Apollo4x, youd be surprised how many people actually deleted their giveaway and then redeemed it after people mentioned regifting wasnt allowed in the comments.

I think making free games available for giveaways and just removing any cv they give is a better solution, I mean there are people who didn't get those free games when they were free and instead of key drops which is being done in forums, it would be nice if we were able to just make giveaways for them.
Also yeah it would prevent people from making giveaways for other games because they can't find those free games on the list.

Besides why make the life harder for someone who only wants to gift something? Isn't the joy of gifting the ultimate purpose of this site? Free or not, some people might have never had the chance to get those games for free anyway. The whole thing is against the purpose of gifting and defeats the concept altogether.

I was aware it could have been suggested many times before, but well, I'm sure it was suggested much less than wrong-labeled-free-games-giveaways were created!

Instead, make them appear on the list normally, with some * at their side. And once selected, a make an alert appear below the selection, explaining that you can't giveaway that game, the reason behind it, and expressing that people should not create a giveaway for another game.
This would possibly minimize the problem that make people create wrong labeled GAs for free games.
Following that line of thought, I'd also suggest that the deemed bundled games coula have some ** at their side on the list, and once selecting them, an alert would appear below the selection, informing that the game was bundled, will give a fraction of the points, and so on.
