Dunno if I'm glad or sad that it's open until tomorrow, and is a random raffle. :P

Game's bad thought. Very bad. Unplayable. (For me at least)

Edit: More specifically:

7:21 - Madjoki: Killing Floor 2 is basically unplayable for me
7:23 - Madjoki: 5 minute loading time isn't nice. But server getting full or connection failure after it leading to another 5 minute loading time is worse.
7:23 - pasports31 entered chat.
7:24 - Madjoki: Framerate is all over place, making it impossible to play.
7:25 - Tomasety III: uff thats bad news
7:25 - Madjoki: yeah, very disappointing
7:26 - Madjoki: ping is ~40ms to UK servers, so it's not because of that.

Expected since they are effectively making a remake of the original game when absolutely no remake was needed.

What are your PC specifications?

i7 3960x - 16GB DDR3 1600mhz - HD6870 1GB - 240GB SSD - Windows 8.1 64bit

FPS is good, but frequent dips are what makes it unplayable.

Maybe some problems with old cards, even if powerful ones, also card is just 1Gb of VRAM, 1Gb of vRAM nowadays is not enough, and as you say frequent dips, this looks like the reason of not enough memory.

I'm pretty sure that 1Gb of vRAM bottlenecks your PC a lot, because your PC is very powerful, except card is very outdated. If buying new card, with no less than 3Gb, but even a GTX 970 looks weak compared to that top gamma CPU, 240Gb SSD and 16Gb RAM you have, but will be enough to match nowadays requirements, even beyond 1080p.

Yeah, I know GPU is weak, but all UE3 engine games work very well.

GPU upgrade is coming soon, going either with 970 or AMD equivalent. 980 is really overpriced. (970 a bit, but still reasonable price). Strong USD does really harm these prices, it's way over Steams hated $1=1€.

Edit: vRam doesn't explain long load times, it should be very short to be enjoyable.

it's not even in early access, so the optimization should probably increase a lot still

Early access is mainly for balancing gameplay and additional content, instead of optimization. They say it's fairly polished now. (see Steam description)

didn't get one, oh well. Really wanted to try the beta just to see how well it worked on my system. The video I have seen of the game looks great. Once there is a free weekend for it I'll give it a try.
