I actually wish there would be Faerie Solitaire 2 soon™, but 1,5 years after preordering, I still don't have heard news about a release...

I bought the Infinity Bundle because it had Bundle in the title and back then I was in the mindset "Must buy all bundles!" Nothing really from it yet.

Not really bad but paying 6$ for just tables feels horrible.

18 tables my friend. Its a really good buy!

1 decade ago

Comment has been collapsed.

If you're silly, yes. The amount of tables you get for $6 is more than any full priced, traditional pinball game you could get before on handhelds and consoles. It's a damn fine deal no matter how you slice it!

1 game + dlcs , no thank you

1 decade ago

Comment has been collapsed.

You made a mistake, it is all DLC. The original game is not offered, because it is a free game to begin with.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Its 22 tables.. if you look at the times where Pinball games were sold in stores as fullprice-games, they usually came with 3-4 tables.. so its like ~6 pinball games. "DLC" is just a meaningless word in this case.

DLC is pretty meaningless to begin with if you think about it, like everything on Steam is downloadable content in the first place.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, you are right about that ^^ Anything you can download is basicly DLC, no matter if its a full game, an addon or even a movie.. its a meaningless term, just the same as "HD" ^^
But it is generally used for smaler game-addons that dont add enough content do be classified as expansion-packs.. an in this case, Pinball just consists of a collection of tables and you can count four tables as a full game.

Great! I've always loved pinball. This game is a very realistic simulation of a pinball machine, and isn't as restricted as a physical machine.

so this is a bundle full of dlc for a "free" steam game which has no tables and locks you out at a certain score right?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

What do you mean by "locks you out at a certain score"?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can try the tables before you buy. It lets you play for a bit until you reach a certain score limit.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I'm assuming that's not the case once the tables in the deal here have been purchased?

edit: Thank you, BTW.

^^^ This ^^^

You get the free Basegame on Steam with one table, add the Humblebundle and get 22 additional tables. If you mean the "locking out" with the demo-tables, this wont happen with the ones you´ve bought, of course ;)

SlamTilt was the best pinball game ever made! I hope it will be on GOG one day.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I had SlamTilt. It was awesome. Couldn't get it to work when i upgraded from XP. Ever since then i had been looking for a pinball game that was as good as SlamTilt. Pinball FX-2 finally filled that void.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Hehe, same here ^^ Loved Pinball Dreams/Fantasies/Illusions and they all got topped by SlamTilt.. after that, the genre had only dissappointments and I acutally thought I lost my interrest in pinball.. but PFX2 showed me, that it had nothing to do with me, it was just the games that stopped being fun.
I´m still hoping for some good Pirate and Racing themed PFX2-Tables though.. they were awesome on SlamTilt, but the ones they have at PFX2 are old and rather bad.. they made em before they got really got at this.

These bundles are becoming increasingly redundant. Since the Humble Daily appeared, I've had a sneaking suspicion that Humble are planning on moving out of the bundle business and getting into regular sales exclusively.

So much negativity. I think this is a great bundle. Love Pinball FX. Never played much real life tables because i sucked and lost in like 5 minutes. I got hooked with FX2. Really cool tables.

Look at that pinball action! But really, if this is what they use as the trailer footage I couldn't see myself playing for more than 5 minutes. It looks really dull :/

Don't expect "realism". The physics of the ball are good. There is no way a real pinball table could do some of the things you can do in this game. They are effects that don't really affect the gameplay that much. Like on the Star Wars table when you shoot the ball down a certain area, the ball comes down through a light saber. I'd like to see a real table do that! lol

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Its simply the best Pinball game ever made ^^
You will already get a lot of fun out of the 1$ pack, but the 6$ one is more than worth it.. especially the Star Wars and Avengers Packs feature some of the best tables.

Fun = Yeah! If you like Pinball, you´ll love this!

Realistic = Lets say its "realistic enough". The physics are pretty good and it feels like Pinball should feel. They do some things on the tables that would not be possible, but it never feels too much over the top.. I´d say it is like if they design every table as a real-world-table first and then add a few extra gimmicks that just add to the fun.. other publishers tried to do some crazy digital-pinball-games before, but too much of this somehow destroys that special pinball-magic.. Zen Studios manages to walk that fine line.

Good for Kids = Yeah, I´d say so ^^ I loved Pinball as a kid myself on Amiga etc.. the PFX2-Tables are a good mixture of hard and complicated tables and easier, more accessable ones.

Own all these on Xbox and most of STeam. HIghly recommend if you like pinball. Very fun. A more realistic one is "Pinball Arcade" which is also fun (but WAY more expensive IMO)

everyone is hating this one. I think its a good deal I bought most of these on my xbox a while ago for full price and was worth it then. I just wish it added a few more tables but still compaired to even a good steam sale the price is really good.
