Q1:
Are there any rules about posting giveaways w/ uPlay keys?
I have one for Assassins Creed 3, a game I've already played on my PS3. I'm gonna check w/ friends first, but if nobody wants it: why not give it away here?

Q2:
Has anyone used uPlay-keys before? I couldn't find any information on their page, nor in the uPlay-client; but a friend said it's
essentially a "100%-off key"; meaning you'll have to add the game to your cart and then use the key during the checkout-phase to get the game for free. Is that correct?

I never knew uPlay even used keys. But yes, you may post them here, as long as it's in the forums, not in any giveaway, as they're only for Steam keys.

Steam games only. The only non steam game you can gift i think is Battlefield 3, don't ask me why.

And Minecraft. But I've just glanced through the FAQs and neither BF3 or Minecraft are in there any more :/.

I knew they were both at one time or another allowed.

EDIT: would appear both are off the 'create-a-giveaway' page, so that's a no, they can't be gifted any more.

a) you can't make a giveaway here
b) you can activate them in the client but it's hidden, but I'm too lazy to post it again

Q1: They are not allowed in created giveaways, you can give them away in forum posts.

For Q2: No. The key is a game key you activate in the client just like Steam or Origin. You just add the game to Uplay using a command line switch and it'll then prompt you to enter the key.

1) How is the site called? ;)

2) AFAIK these 100% off keys are from graphics cards and you just have to buy the game and add the code as coupon code. There are also normal Uplay keys that you can either activate as a hidden option in the normal Uplay or when you download the AC3 installer.

To everyone saying he can't create a giveaway for it, I say "Why not?" it's redeemable on Steam. Maybe with a mod/admin approval?
Sure you need the UPlay client as well if you activate it through Steam, but that's just Ubisoft being Ubisoft.

It's not redeemable on Steam and that's why he can't make a giveaway for it. It's that easy.
