With the other versions also in mind i rather mean how many changes can there be that makes it totally different, will the made games be that much different?
Also over 1000 euro on DLC is kinda milking it.

I think the DLC for VX ace is actually makes sense - they're selling an engine for making games, not the resources to make games. They already have a good amount of basic maps and tiles bundled with the engine. Normally,if you'd want to make a game, you'd have to hire an artist to make stuff for you - buying the dlc gives you an (much cheaper) alternative to that,so I rather have them existing than not. They are in no way necessary to the functionality of the engine and there are many resource packs available online for free.

The DLC for the most part (all but the Luna Engine?) are more akin to Unity assets in that they are prefabbed asset packs (music, graphics) for you to use commercially or otherwise in your project. Having these sorts of things on Steam as DLC is a bit weird, but I guess it works.

MV does look more or less the same. I mean, RPG Maker has been a 2D tile-based RPG engine for two decades now. There seems to be a couple new features that would appeal to people wanting to make their own games like official HTML5 and Android support, an additional map layer, and an increased resolution for your game and sprites. The resolution increase sticks out to me as the lamest feature, because the idea of a game engine having a fixed resolution in this day and age just seems a bit silly.

What? It's for people who can't be bothered to do anything else and just want make the game within RPG makers.

Just like people who use RPG makers and can't be bothered to make own engine. It's not a different thing, just a different scale.

The Javascript (is this new? I don't remember it being in VX Ace), HTML5/Mobile export seem like the biggest and best changes. The rest look like things you could already do as long as you're good with ruby (at least to me but I haven't played around with VX Ace in a while so I'm not sure)
