Quite interested on the game, despite the lack of story the game provides, just kill'em all coz you hate 'em humanity bam bam bam

UPDATE: It's Gabe himself who put the game back on Steam Greenlight, dunno it's legit or not, though

Doesn't look like a game I'd be interested in no matter what the content since I dislike shooters and that's about what it looks to be, but at the same time I am mature enough to recognize that censoring a game because of content is a stupid idea. The only stuff Steam should be removing is stuff that is definitely a copyright violation or otherwise would be illegal to sell. Outside of that, let the consumers have their say on whether they want it or not.

I'd tack, 'Broken scams of games,' onto the list of things they should remove, but in general, I agree. The game doesn't appeal to me, partly because of the content, but mainly because it looks like a way to wrap a mediocre top-down shooter in enough controversy to move units, but I have no issue with it being sold on Steam.

I'm usually quite interested in violent games, but after reading the store page I just feel disturbed. Tragic events like school shootings and shootings in general are carried out for pretty much the same reasons the Hatred protagonist is giving. They hate humanity and just want to hurt people. Give the game something original like a story or a valid reason for what's going on and I might be interested. Mindless violence that mimics real life mindless violence is not my cup of tea.

you've never played the game, how can you tell there isn't?

Well I'm basing this off of what I've read so far. Surely they would at least hint at some underlying reason, but given that it's an indie title I'm already doubting there's much yet we haven't seen.

Honestly? I don't give a fuck. I used to be upset about the idea of this game, but hey if people wants to play it then who am I to prevent them from doing so. I think it is a myth that video games would corrupt the youths and make them shoot kids at school. If somebody wants to go out there with an AK and kill people then they'll do it regardless of Hatred coming out or not. As a game mechanic/visual-wise it looks boring and dull.

Marketing stunt.
It got the game free publicity, people post about it in the forums(Good example here) and it got people who never heard of it before to vote for it(Me for example).
And I doubt our lord and savior Gaben the almighty has any idea about this game.
