I have heard it's really repetitive, and just ruins the game.

Every game is repetitive.

Any game that has QTE must die.

Devs must starve and companies must fail.

F**k QTE's, it's almost 2015 ffs ...

i liked the game because it one of the few hack'n'slash games with a rome theme. Personally i would recomend to wait for a bigger sale, at most the game is worth 5-10 USD. Ryse is a small game (i finished it in 6 hours), with very "repetitive" gameplay, what i mean is that the gameplay barely evolves. In this game you have light attack, heavy attack, ranged attack and a block/counter move, those are all the controls in the game and you get them all in about 1 hour of gameplay. There's also no incentive to replay the game whatsoever.
What i really liked was the roman theme, i find it incredibly fun to throw a pilum into a barbarian!
If you what a combat game i recommend batman arkham series, shadow of mordor, castlevania and dynasty warriors.
