Now after almost a year has passed since I graduated, I've got finally an invitation to an interview to my dream job.

Although there's still two more weeks till the interview I'm starting to panic, naturally. Generally I can handle the "corporate language" as I've got an economic background, but the person in charge of the interview will be a doctor of biology.

In any case, I've said to myself that I will create a GA for a game that I like very much in case that I finally get an invitation, so here we go:

Batman AA Batman AC (both ended)

Both are CV free.

Edit: Today I had my interview. I don't think that I'll get this position.

  • they were not impressed by me taking a whole year to search for a job.
  • my expectations were somewhat off and they were actually looking for a candidate with a bachelor degree, so my master was a bit overkill.
  • there was also the representative of handicapped employees present, meaning that a candidate before or after me has some kind of disability; as public employers have certain quotas for challenged people, this will be a disadvantage to me .

Luckily, there were also some good points, as I had the feeling that they really liked my questions at the end of the interview. In any case, if I get this job somehow, I'll create another round of GAs for celebration.

Good luck! I had huge troubles getting a job after I finished my school O.o
Now I'm finally employed, and I kinda can't wait for the contract to expire so I'll have time to play games again. Hah! :D

Thanks for the giveaways, I think Batman: AA and Batman: AC are the best comics-based games ever made!

I love both games, especially AC, but speaking of comic based games The Punisher is also great.

Good luck, you'll do like Batman in the interview: feel invincible at first after a warm welcome, almost die because of tough interview questions, then turn around the interview and walk away with the girl... I mean job, of course.

Knock it out of the park. Remember what got you to this point was your own abilities

They've invited you to an interview, so they've already seen something about you that they like. Above all else, be HONEST in your responses. You don't have to tell them everything about you, but what you do tell them should be truthful.

Yes, I know... lying or at least shrouding the truth is actually always a bad idea, as sooner or later the truth will be uncovered. Right now, I'm practicing my answers and reading up again on the subject of the job. At least I have roughly two weeks for my preparations.

I saved them especially for this occasion. If I get this job I'll create a second round of GAs, but I don't know what yet.

Did you not have any work experience during that year you were searching for a job?

Also don't let yourself think that your masters put you down. Most employers read the CV more than the cover letter, so they already knew you had a masters and still invited you to the interview. In all honesty, a Masters is just perfect right in today's job market. It's not too much and it's not too little.

Good luck in your future attempts

The more relaxed you are during the interview the better you answer their questions. Really. Don't panic. Just prepare yourself. During each interview I were in the middle of crossfire of questions.
