800-1200 is far from top notch budget. On the bright side for that kind of money you can get asus ROG laptop (ROG = Republic of gamers). Check their offers in you local area. I am sure you will find something for that kind of cash. You can check for review and GPU performance on http://www.notebookcheck.net/.

Ah. I'm not all that great with tech specs, lol. But I absolutely love the new laptop I bought a couple weeks back. So far it's been able to handle everything I play, but I haven't played anything like GTAV. I spent a little less than $700 on it, and from what I've gathered this laptop goes on sale a lot from Lenovo's website, so if you don't see a discount at the time of ordering you may can wait for a new discount or contact support and they may offer you a discount (they offered this to me when I contacted them).

:P Like I said, I'm no expert on specs but I primarily got this laptop for work and to handle some games.

BlueDahlia has a good laptop over there but if you wanna go a bit over that, I recommend the Lenovo Y50-70.
It goes for around 1000$ but has great hardware.
Intel i7 processor, 8Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 860M 4GB graphics card. This baby can run Witcher 3-level games with no problems.
Only downside is the display, which could be nicer as far as colors and brightness goes.

Prime deals have been nothing but a letdown so far. :(

Agreed, this whole "bigger than black friday" thing seems to be more like a "we need to sell this crap we have just a few items left to make room for new things in the distribution centers"

Yep. That and encouraging people to subscribe to Prime or the trial and hope they get more subscribers lol. Got money to spend and can't really find anything to justify the purchase.

Assuming you live in the states, you can get a Sager NP8651 (Clevo P650SE) for around $1180. It's the U.S. version of the #1 "lightweight gaming" laptop on notebookcheck.net.
It also comes with a 970M which is significantly better than the 860M those other laptops come with. On GTA V high settings it's a difference of about 30 FPS.

So i'm on the road a lot because of my job, I try to play as often as I can (been idling for cards so thats why my playtime in the past two weeks is so high) ANYWAYS, I really want a top notch gaming laptop because of it. Anyone have some recommendations?
Budget is around $800-$1200
I really just wanna run GTA V, Fifa 2016 amongst other newer games at high settings or better
(EDIT: Best answer gets a key to a game)
