the steam Workshop and greenlight are great features... also the market, in a way... maybe some people hate it, but i manage to get 30 motherfucking dollars just selling items... and i bought a lot of games... so is a win for me.

As an actual client I can't say there's much I actually like.

Cloud-saving is great in theory but I've had too many games glitch on it. So it's simply still not reliable.
Chat client is awful, barely adequate.
Voice-chat is simply the worst I've ever dealt with having noticeable lag and latency issues at times.
Matchmaking sucks.
Game servers can be unstable and I recently experience what happens when they crash while playing certain games online with them (Borderlands 2) Basically, it's not cool.
The store is organized fairly poorly and the wishlist is a pain to manage.
Greenlight has been an unmitigated clusterfluff of stupidity and misexecution. Though there's still promise it amazes me that it launched like it did.

So, all I'm left with is it revitalizing the PC market, prices, prices, prices, and that generally speaking the download service is top notch, rarely having speed issues now. That and they basically pushed the "infinite downloads" on high traffic stuff. Before that the rule was more, "one and done" than anything else with only a few exceptions.

I really like Steam but I'd be lying if I install the client for its "features".

without steam, humble bundle would have never been possible! I love HB!
