I paused this month 1-2 weeks ago because I did not want a battle net key or because they gave half a game for most of the month.

I checked today and my subscription was magically unpaused.

PSA: So be sure to check and make sure its paused so you don't get stuck with the lousy monthly.

Just checked, and indeed it was unpaused.
However it stated that the last skipped month was Jund 2019 and no charge had happend.
But to be better safe then sorry i paused again just to be sure.

If you weren't paused already, you've already been charged (usually happens the week before the reveal.)

I just unsubbed for now. The whole 'we just wanted to remind you that you can get the next month for 9$ if you unpause now' mail bombing really got to me...

Yeah, it's unpaused. But in the same time it tells me "June 7, 2019 Skipped a Month" in Billing Hisotry. It's confusing, since when I pause it again, it says "If you pause you will miss out on June 2019's games". So what was I pausing for the last few weeks?

Damn. My one was unpaused too!
Until now they have been pretty correct with that feature... Don't get scammy, Humble!!! 😒
And thanks for the warn :)

EDIT: 'However it stated that the last skipped month was Jund 2019 and no charge had happend.'
Yeah, same. Maybe just a cosmetic flaw & false alarm. Paused again too, just in case.
Next time I'm going to cancel. Not that you would miss out on anything.

i've gotten a mail from HB saying i got unpaused, meaning you should get some sort of a notification assuming you are subscribed/not blocking them.

I've had this happen as well.

The problem is that they unpause you, the email about it might not even show up properly (or gets filtered) and then you're at fault for trusting them. You can request a refund only once. This isn't acceptable. I now just completely cancel with them every time and I also tend to stay away from the monthlies more often solely because of that scummy stuff happening.

My Just-in-case-re-pausing carried through to the new bundle which is now paused.
I wasn't charged anything and the reminder mail from Thursday, the day before it ended, urged me to not miss out & suscribe as well.

So maybe it was just a design flaw or an inadvertency to lift the 'Your subscription is paused' banner early
causing the impression of getting unpaused while actually being not.

Have a nice weekend 🙂

It's designed to unpause every month as part of the monthly subscription. You pause before the last Friday of the month if you don't want the bundle. They unpause you the next Friday after the early unlocks are revealed. You can keep pausing every month or cancel your subscription or remove your payment information and they'll automatically cancel your subscription on the last Friday of the month.

It is not hard to remove your payment data from Humble, really.

I think people just don't realize they can and keep their payment info stored.

The only reason your subscription unpaused is because the month you paused it for is already over. If you go to your Manage My Subscription options, you will find that pausing is only good for one month.
