Why isn't there an option to give away the collection, i only find entries for each of the 5 included games.

Seems it got removed - which is not necessarily a bad thing for you, because the value of the collection was reduced to 1 point (to enter) / 1 USD (contributor value received), because it was featured in an Indie Gala bundle.

My suggestion: create a giveaway of any of the Ironclads games and add in the description that it's the whole collection.

Suggestion 2: If you're patient, you can also create a support ticket and request that the collection should be added again to the list.

eh do not go with the first suggestion or you may get shafted and suspended for misrepresenting giveaway, unless you got permission from support. So yeah, write to support.

Where did you hear/read that?

You never get suspended if you give more than the game in question, as long as the game is included.

It's as if someone created a giveaway for a base game X and gave away game X + DLC Y.
I highly doubt that the winner would object to that, and since he does receive game X, support will not suspend anyone if DLC Y is delivered as a bonus.

you are probably referring to the time before features like contributor value and the bundles list have been introduced to the site, when people started to give away game keys for collections as single games, because bundle games where forbidden at that time (that's actually why Ironclads Collection had its value reduced and people who gave away the collection as 1 of the included games got suspended), but this is no longer the case.

It is this kind of thinking which has resulted in a lot of things being listed as bundle games even though they were never in bundles. If people stopped thinking that they were being "clever" by listing collections as single games, GOTY's as basic games, etc, maybe we could have nice things.

Somehow I don't understand to what "kind of thinking" you are referring to, because I'm pretty sure that I've been stating facts, not thoughts - unless you are referring to people that are giving (or "were giving", because it no longer matters with the current system) away collections as single games to get more contributor value.

IMHO: If the contributor-value-feature were removed from the site, it would no longer matter if a game is/was in a bundle, but that's OT.

Actually it DOES matter with the current system whether you giveaway collections as a single game. It leads to situations like we have now where all King Arthur games are on the bundle list even though only the Collection should be. It's also why Humble Bundle games are all on the bundle list even though, up until recently, they were not individual keys. And those are just a couple of examples.

If people stopped trying to be "clever" and just selected the giveaway that perfectly matched what they are giving away (which is a rule, "Do not misrepresent the game being given away") then these extraneous items would not be on the bundle list.

It's still the case if the collection is worth 1 point and individual games more, changes to bundle games notwithstanding. You still potentially get 10 imaginary contributor dollars vs 1. Hatred ensues.

Collection was in one of the galas, sprouted some controversies about contributor (before there were contributor changes to account for bundles) etc etc, was manually mocked up with to be worth only 1 point. Maybe all this somewhere down the line made it dissapear. Doesn't look as intended though so yeah.. good catch. Writing to the support probably is best option.

EDIT: curse my slow response, Dopefish wrote already pretty much everything that I did in the meantime

I already asked them that about 2 weeks ago. They replied they added it to the queue for games the administrator needs to add to the create a giveaway list, but it might take a while. In the meantime I got tired of waiting and I activated it on my account. It isn't worth much anyway, since it's "bundled".
