Looks like it's scheduled for a 2018 Q1 release. Steam page

I really enjoyed my time with the first one ( except few minor gripes ) so fingers crossed this will be even better ( it does look like it will ) .

Why that? Release for first game is two years already. And Vermintide 2 is still in development.

If you liked first one then buy the second one. Hopefully it will not get bundled so often like the first title. But it seems they try to avoid the rough launch the first one had. So it probably isnt necessary.
