Hey guys. Recently a new magazine showed up in my country(It is also sold in Russia and some other countries). It is about collecting pieces for building a miniature railroad. It has 100 editions which totaly cost 700 euros (with everything you see in the video below). I was wondering if anyone from here bought first number. Do you guys think this hole model could be bought cheaper? I don't know if I'm allowed to paste links here. If I'm not, sorry I will delete them as soon as possible.
First link is to the magazine page from my country (http://trenelectric.ro/). Second link is from Russia (https://www.eaglemoss.com/ru-ru/models/electro-train/). Third is a link to a short video presenting the model (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZiB8G6lU3Q).
The company that is selling this is called Eaglemoss. And I also want to mension that in the first number wagon came with the magazine and it is made out of plastic.

I would really appreciate your help guys
Thanks guys :D

Is it worth it?

Well if you can make a custom rail instead of the one they showed up on the website, then it's a big yes!

I know it looks nice, and yeah I would love to have what is showed up there but biggest concern is reliability. I have never bought anything from Eaglemoss and I'm just unsure what to expect.

Ah, those magazine things... I really wouldn't count on them. The usual thing they do there is get you the first parts pretty cheap and then have the rest a bunch higher. Good thing you already researched on the total costs.

In my experience the stuff from offers like that isn't really high quality, and you're better off buying a set you really want which you know for sure is of high quality.

I have a whole set of pocket watches (30 in total) from a service just like that. While they look nice, I believe the insides aren't high quality, since several of them broke already. On the upside, it was very easy to get a replacement for any that didn't get delivered or that were delivered broken.

Do not recommend at all to buy these magazines. If you're interested in modeling, it is best to go to a special shop to look for a starter kit to build. So it will be possible to find a more interesting set. And the price can go much cheaper.
And the model of the car that was in magazines went out 3 times more expensive than to buy it already assembled.

That's what i'm afraid of. I don't wanna pay more than needed. It's just easier this way because they provide you all the pieces. It's my first time I'm doing this so I don't know much about this.

That's just due to the fact that the pieces will be released and much more. And why I recommend to first go to a special shop, and then to think. And don't forget about scale models.

Summary: the sizing must be made. Any advanced model Builder will find a case for a favorite size, and be able to convince you that some models in N-detail no worse than H0. TT fans – will tell you that it is optimal in terms of compactness/detail/prevalence. Anyway, focus is on the size of the free space for a new hobby. As well as on own experience: just hold in the hands of models of different sizes.

5600 rubles at a minimal cost diesel locomotive M62.And so here the prices. 1 issue 79 rubles, 2 issue 129, from 3 to 7 issue 229, from 8 to 14 249 rubles. As you can see, the price goes all the time up and up. 15 and 21 the release price of 279 rubles. After the price is 299 60 release, and then 319 rubles. 66 again with a price increase to 339 rubles. But to bring even purchased magazines will not work, there will have to find someone to buy them and then sell with the shipment.
Only the diesel locomotive not to buy. Them, little has been done in 2014, and in 2015 they are gone. The people coupons were collected, filled and sent, but the locomotives get and couldn't.

Are the last ones that expensive? I just hada look at the Rusian site and the first 75 editions together are less then 280 euro.

Well first 2 numbers are cheapper hut the rest of them cost about 6 euro each. So about 600 in total for 100 numbers + 2 locomotives of a total cost of 140 euro. So about 700 in my country. It means in Russia they are way much cheaper.

Haven't searched there but I'll have a look. Do you know any good reliable brands that make pieces for this kind of models?

Price apart (which seems to be bit high anyway), I would make sure it is compatible with aftermarket parts (couldn't even find model scale). In the end, what's the point? There's not that much of "hobby" going on with this out-of the box pack. Better start with some entry level set from well known manufacturer and build your own railroad, set in scenery and trains you like and option to expand it whenever you like.

Well I guess I'm gonna give the ideea odd buying this magazine and I'll choose the pieces by myself. The question would be which brand should I choose? If I'm going to pay such a high amount of money I would like it to be reliable and also to be as realistic as possible.

I have no idea, I've never been into trains (only have this old H0 train with simple round railroad somewhere). SG isn't place for this (I wouldn't even ask about PC HW around there :), look around some hobby forums, ask in specialized store. This isn't something to shop for online, if you want to do it right.
Anyway, if you're looking for setup like that one from said magazine, you'll probably end up with similar or higher price, unless you can build scenery on your own (which isn't actually that hard).

You'd better go to a shop specializing in this stuff and ask them how to start.
Or inform yourself online, about brands like Märklin and Trix. (just two I know for trains) and a load of others for buildings etc.
It isn't a cheap hobby but I don't trust this magazine to give you the quality you'd expect for that kind of money.
And there is a lot of choice in great items.

And what about PIKO Spielwaren GmbH or Roco Modelleisenbahn GmbH.
But Märklin's not very interesting in H0 scale, 3 way. Not a very accurate model is obtained. But this is a small quibble.
