Devil May Cry is an amazingly fun game.
Darksiders is a lot more than a simple hack'n'slash, and one of my favourites in fact.
Dante's Inferno might not have lived up to the expectations, but still have a lot going for it.
Can't say anything about God of War except that I feel like it's getting milked. GoW4 is looking too much like GoW3.
Anyway, as a hardcore PC gamer, I wouldn't bash most of the games you mentioned.

Well, gameplaywise the new DmC looks tight at least. I'd give the story a chance, Ninja Theory isn't exactly weak in storytelling, they just want to convey an even more cocky (if you can imagine that) attitude for the young Dante. I mean, it's an origin story of sort, Sparda is still Sparda here. We'll see, they refined a lot since the announcement.

This game is not by the original creators of Devil May Cry. It's an american studio this time (Ninja Theory). They made some nice games, let's hope this doesn't turn into complete shit. Dispite all silly things they changed, it might be fun!

It looks good, but it really shouldn't carry the mantle of DMC anymore, it ruins everything that the series established for itself with having this new gutter-mouthed "Dante".
Maybe they should have labeled this game as a spin-off to the series (or even a new IP), where you play a guy named Steve Butthurt.

Actually you might be on to something WHAT IF Capcom planned this from the start. They wanted people to hate it. They wanted people to beg for the old Dante. So after they released this game and after it bombed they announced DMC5 a true sequel and fans threw their money at Capcom. It's GENIUS! ....though I think I'd be giving Capcom too much credit to ever do something like that.
