Best Steam Skin

I think the author is doing a major rework/recode sorta thing, so he doesn't really have time for proper fixes, but if you google "Apparition skin", you'll find it's Steam thread, there is all the info. (Last few pages)

That skin has a lot of bugs but sometimes i like it :p

I don't use it now cause steam beta.

Edit: lol steam beta update is supported now. But still a lot of bugs.

I did notice that after installing, unfortunately. It has the word "NEW" hovering over the back button preventing it from being clicked. The theme is still usable, but I think I'll wait for an update before trying again.

Yes, there is. There are four different versions of Aquatic Nights: With or without the icons, and with horizontal or vertical minimize/maximize/close buttons (the four combinations). Just choose the "No Icons" skin with your choice of horizontal or vertical buttons. I like horizontal, since it looks normal.

I also edited the icons to have the normal Steam style of white silhouette on black. (The 'News' icon doesn't need this treatment.) Just drop these three .tga files into the Steam\skins(skin you're using)\graphics\ folder and have them replace the existing files. It'll look like this unless you're using a No-icons skin, obviously.

i was using that one until steam community beta made it look all weird. hopefully there'll be an update and i can go back to it -- it's difficult being back on the default

+1. Finding a skin that fits you is hard, so the best option usually is to made one by yourself. I used Savvy UI as a base btw.
Worth mention that Savvy doesn't update it, so you'll have to use my update (posted on the forum thread of the skin), which is the only one out there for that skin.

Why does everyone use PixelVision? Its barely any different than the default UI? I dont understand O.o

Id go for Apparition or Metro if I wanted a skin...
