[Suggestion] Favorite button for forum threads and up/down vote for comments?

  1. Favorite button for forum threads.
    Then add "View Favorite" option under Account.
    Yes, I may create a SG folder then bookmark all my favorite threads in it. But click a favorite button (or icon) should save some time changing the bookmark to the right folder.
    If users can tag the thread with any words they want that would be even better.

  2. Add up/down vote for comments and shows top 5 comments at the beginning.
    One can choose hide the comments under 0 points.
    And this can also help the gifter to find out useful comments under a huge amount of "ty" comments on giveaway page.

I would actually like for this to include more of reddit, but I don't think that that's a high priority. If a priority at all.

Not sure what the fuss is about Reddit, all they do is repost shit from 4chan...

On topic:

  1. Great idea, would definitely help find threads that have gone under
  2. Bad idea, too much opportunity for trolls/spammers etc. Hate when other sites do this, it's just asknig for attention whores.

What if the up vote idea only apply to giveaway comments? Shows top 5 comments at the beginning.

  1. Kinda like it, very interesting idea... I have a bunch of bookmarks from SG and I hate it.

  2. Nope, I don't want to see this kind of system in SG, mostly because I don't want to see karma whores and that stupid thing from other websites "XDXD LE UPVOTE PLZ".

  1. I agree with you. I'd like to keep my bookmark bar clean and save favorite things on what they belong to.

If an upvote/downvote system would exist on SG, I would want to see only an upvote button, not a downvote button, simply because you could downvote an opinion you dont agree with, or if it's from someone you just don't like.

If a post is no good, it just wont get any upvotes. = Vote system less any negativity.
