Description

Congratulations, you solved my puzzle!

Thanks for the puzzle giveaway, I like algebra so this was right up my alley :D And I actually got the Twilight Sparkle clue before you changed it xD I think the xyz clue is a bit ambiguous though. I tried the xyz affair, the xyz color space and the xyz album before brute forcing it, sorry :(

Gah, I knew that Sparkle thing was a name but I couldn't remember why it was familiar. I thought it was Robin Sparkles at first from How I met your mother. Not quite sure about the XYZ thing either. I thought it was either literally y or o for "ordinate".

Thanks for the puzzle.

I used a "b" but then I saw that it wasn't connected again to (0,0)

Thanks for the Puzzle and the Giveaway. Thought about Robin Sparkles at first, too :>

By the way: was the tab with my little a hint or an accident?

not intended as a hint, but of course you can say it is.

whew, thank goodness for the hint for the first letter, I was certain it was o for Ordinate. thanks for the giveaway!

Same thing here.. kept using O for ordinate.

I still don't know what the "h" stands for... in the previous version, which I fortunately still remember, I guess it was for "height", but now?

In any case, thanks for the giveaway.

connect the coordinates given, then you will see a letter, which is h.

But what about the earlier question? "(X,Y,Z)"

What 'name for it' that begins with an H were you looking for? :D I was certain it would be ordinate even though that is rarely used in a three dimensional coordinate system. I went out on a limb and tried u as in 'up' once but that didn't work. You weren't looking for 'height' were you? O_o

Anyway thank you for this giveaway and the puzzle. It was still fun besides the irritating wording in the beginning. The numbers part was really clever and I even figured it out before you added all those hints (again the h was my problem). Enjoyed it. :D

Same, the only one i had wrong because i went after the official name for the Y axis "ordinate"

still, fun puzzle ^_^

The fact that i was able to solve it means its getting easier XD im not a smart man.

Thank you for the giveaway :) It was a fun puzzle, but a bit confusing at first. It got better once you updated it.

It's weird, because some chinese keyboards on google images have 日 on the "A" button and I was certain it's the right answer when it was actually "D" >_>

Nice puzzle and thanks for the giveaway :)

I especially liked the numbers part, was pretty elegant.

I googled it, and 日 is on both A and D. But on A it's in the lower left corner of the key, on D it's in the lower right corner. And he said in the hint that it was in the lower right corner of the key.

Both images I googled had the symbol in the upper corners :)

Ah, finally made it, after the number of possibilities was reduced. :-)

I really liked the "(0,3)-(0,0)-(0,1)-(1,1)-(1,0)" part: it's something not immediately obvious, but once you get the idea and imagine the shape, you kind of get a confirmation you got it right. You could have even coded more of the characters this way, because this was basically the only part requiring some "idea". The rest was more about googling and paying attention/following instructions (which is not bad, per se; but I'd say it's easier than the "idea" part, and a puzzle is as hard as its hardest piece, making the simpler pieces less important).

(Well, when I was solving that part, it was still "(0-3)-(0-0)-(0-1)-(1-1)-(1-0)", which wasn't as obvious as the current state. Now it looks almost too simple again. :-D)

(EDIT: Oh, and nobody be afraid, I'm not entering.)

I found the main puzzle was to figure out what to do with the solutions to the equation from the original wording. :D

So thanks for this puzzle + giveaway, was fun!

Am I the only one who had first letter "c" as a "chair"??? Took me a full hour to finally try to think about a different possibility :)

Bruteforced the Sparkle-thing; Google didn't help me, I even tried "sparkle purple pony", but I gave up pretty quickly as I thought it was a dead end. I guess I'm too old (or male) for this :) . Instead I tried to apply some chemistry knowledge to it - "K" wasn't the right answer...

Anyway thx for the puzzle and giveaway, will try my luck.

The sparkle thing is Twilight Sparkle, the purple pony from the My Little Pony cartoon.

I'm not a brony, but for once I'm glad my friends are! Thanks for the puzzle; I didn't think of Twilight Sparkle because I thought it was too obvious (until other people's comments reaffirmed my suspicions!).

Cheers!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!!! I SOLVED IT! (At least I do not have to feel so stupid anymore). The last symbol I could ONLY bruteforce (hate to do that - first time I did this actually). Also without the periods I would have never-ever thought those numbers were actually points in a 2D plane. Other than that - very innovative, interesting and almost SADISTICALLY hard. Thank you.
