Description

If you say thanks or any of that... I will not be happy. Comments, questions only. I only would like to hear a thanks from the winner. I don't care about your comment/giveaway ratio, I find it stupid that everyone fills up a page with thank yous instead of just having a simple 1 up button and leaving the comments section for IDK, comments.

It's a steam key, I tend to send by email but sometimes I try to friend first and give it that way.

Thanks!

What we have here, is a failure to communicate. Or a sadist who loves making others unhappeh.

I didn't start buying Humble bundles until about the 5th one, and this 3rd one looks like one of the best from what I've missed. I keep trying to win it here, but haven't gotten lucky on it yet. Hopefully one of these days I'll manage to get it.

Hopefully you win... the 5th one was imo the best. I haven't bought the last 2 because I thought they were good but never lived up to the 5th. 1-3 were similar in the type of indie games they had, mostly lower budget more unknown stuff. Now the focus is more on larger budget indie games that have more of a community presence, not that this is a bad thing, just an observation.

The same case here, except i didn't get on the band wagon until the THQ bundle, but i am still surprised people have this bundle. When did it come out and why do some many people still have it and never used it? =P

TBH, I was going through all my old HIBs for keys that haven't been used, found this one and was too lazy to trade it because it would be too much work. For some reason, I had 2 copies of HIB3 and I have no idea why. So I decided to give it away here.

I find that a little strange myself :p And far as the bundles.. I have found I enjoy all of the ones I have, last THQ one, and two gala indie ones. And I have enjoyed each at least for one or two games XD

I find it stupid that everyone fills up a page with thank yous instead of just having a simple 1 up button and leaving the comments section for IDK, comments.

Some of the support staff will care to disagree, strongly. Not that this is a bad thing, but the argument seems to hold little water every time the topic is raised. And some people will say 'thank you' regardless of whatever you want because they want to thank you - although they might be the minority, they're fairly vocal in telling everyone they want to thank 'em.

I know people will say thank you regardless we can't change that (it annoys me but I have to move passed it). What is the argument that the support staff has against a 1 up button instead of filling the pages with thanks. I know besides the extra coding and all that but once that's done it would be easy to implement and not fill a page full of useless comments. If they were to ban saying thank you in the comments (and people actually listened) I can't see why the support staff would be in favor of it tbh. I really can't see how it does "hold little water," (I have been around for awhile so I have seen in person that the argument has held little water) but I wonder why. Everytime it just gets shot down like, "that's a horrible idea" but you never really see a reason.

I am generally interested though why the support staff encourages this practice.

Because it would break people's auto-thanking scripts.
Or, you know, become "more like facebook".
To be honest, I have no idea, myself. I find myself writing thanks rather often, more to leave a token of gratitude than anything. Having to write less, and click more, well, it'd be nice. And writing something of interest can still be done; and might even attract more attention.

I know I thank most creators because it feels rude to me to just enter without showing my appreciation in some way. I can see it from both sides though so I'm not going to be posting thanks if the creator specifically asked not to :P

And for the first two things is that so bad? Who needs those scripts? and Facebook is widely successful at what it does so emulating it in a way would not be a bad thing.

That's exactly what I am saying. I want only comments like these and the conversation above to fill the page. But I guess people will say that's why we have a forum. But the comments here are only used for two things anyway, to yell "FAKE" (which I am fine with actually) and "thanks" (which I am not okay with)

I think Doobs was being sarcastic, at least on the first point. And I think the second too.

As for saying thanks, I agree with Hundred. It just feels rude to come in and enter and say nothing... but I see where you're coming from too. It'd be nice to actually be able to see questions/interesting information in the comment section if they didn't get completely lost in the see of "Thanks!" ...Maybe if we DID have a Up-vote button or the thumbs up or whatever I might feel a little better about not thanking the contributor for giving away a game. But even if I don't win, I appreciate the opportunity, and I'm going to continue thanking contributors regardless of whether or not it's community policy.
