I was just kidding around, since "trapdoor" often conjures up some secret hinged opening beneath a frightened peasant's feet that the king then opens to cause him to fall into the dungeons below (this never really happened as far as I am aware). A trapdoor can also be any sort of hinged or removable panel in the floor or ceiling which could be used to leave one room or enter another. It's basically a door or opening for your floor or ceiling which is typically kept secret until emergencies. People hide it under rugs, furniture, and whatnot.

So don't worry, you didn't say anything wrong! I was just trying to make a joke (and failed, apparently) by saying that this giveaway isn't a trap, but a great discovery. Sorry for the confusion.
