I remember seeing a three-legged dog at the beach with my Dad when I was a kid (this one was missing a rear leg), and I pointed it out and told him how sad I felt for it. He watched the dog running, jumping and playing around with the other dogs there, then smiled at me and told me that it didn't look like that dog was letting himself feel sad about it. :)
