Description

I love prime numbers. They really help a lot in different areas, e.g. computer security algorithms. But it appears they are also useful here at Steamgifts! Just consider the following: 7² • 31². It is so beautiful and also quite unbelievable. But trust me and believe in it! The only thing I also wonder: why they use a slashed zero in so many fonts.

P.S. This one is really simple. Just calculate the expression value and answer the slashed zero question.

P.P.S. The slashed zero glyph is often used to distinguish the digit "zero" ("0") from the Latin script letter "O" (both upper- and lowercase).

P.P.P.S. Just try what you get.

P.P.P.P.S. Calculate the expression value and replace zero with o.

Welcome to the first bonus giveaway! I guess you are already tired of my puzzles, but this is the last one for now :)

P.S. This comment is not a part of the puzzle, just a greeting message.

After the hint about possible characters (62) in the code I tried to factorize the number:

18966358 = 62 * 509 * 601.

Looks cool but leads nowhere :)

Then tried to apply base-64 code table to (18 9 6 63 58).

And only then switched to base-36.

I did not want to provide the exact solution in the hint :) I understand that you could try base62 after reading the hint, but I expect base36 to be the next guess :)

The OOooo clue to me was a clear indicator that the first step would not result in a code with both upper and lower case, so eliminating all possible solutions that could result in a mixed case made it easier to find the correct one.

Exactly my thoughts :)

I only decided to look for format AFTER getting 5-char combination.
And yes, the format does give away possible encodings.

People spent quite a time on this puzzle.. I do not want to have this time just wasted, so I added the additional hint. I hope you understand my decision :)

No problem at all. But I am sure chour would have gotten it even without the additional hint, I've seen his prior work.

When you finally got the 5 entries needed for CV, I unfortunately (?) have to remove my entry since I just won another giveaway for this. It was my #2 wishlist game, so I'm very happy right now ;)
Hope someone else will get you up to 5 entries, there is still time at least!
