Description

+1 for those who have Darsiders 2 from HB, I don't really need this. And one question for you guys. Does In app purchase like DLC makes you mad when you've already paid the developers for the base game?

all depends on what kind of dlc is purchased one... i personally byuing mostly dlcs with quests and such stuff

But wouldn't it be better devs release a complete game with all the quests included

Yes. It's how games started. My opinion of course.

Just because a game has DLC doesn't make the base game incomplete somehow. Everything has a budget, selling extra content as DLC enables them to have a higher budget for the game. The business model has evolved in such a way that as consumers we get to make the choice of purchasing the extra content or not purchasing it. Without DLC being optional, we'd just face across the board price increases for games. Would you rather pay $70-$80 for every new game, or $60 plus whatever DLC you deem worth paying extra for?

Thanks for being part of the community. :)

For me it depends on the situation. If it's a day one DLC then yes. If it's added later and has good content then no. And of course the the price has to be balanced.

Day one dlc is the worst thing ever invented

Day 1 or Day 500 DLC, it is the same thing. There's no difference from a production standpoint whatsoever. They always have a separate budget for DLC. I don't understand the constant misconception that DLC is "cut from the main game." It's not. It's created in addition to the main game, as a means of supplementing the revenue stream for the game to ensure profitability without raising the cost of the entry barrier any higher for the primary release.

I only hate situation when You need to buy a DLC in order to see the ending of the story in base game. Others are fine by me. If you love the game and have the money you'll buy it if not its fine.

ty, and yes I hate extra piecemeal DLC. I'd prefer they wait and combine it as an X-Pack.

If it's content like quests that actually take a long time to build, it's ok. Buying weapons and stuff like that? Bullshit.

Hmm, mostly it does.
Mainly when all DLC are already out for some time and there is no complete version of game and likely there won't ever be.

Thanks! And yes, it does. I don't really like DLC. And now that it is here, I prefer to buy if it gets a GOTY edition with all DLC packed in - especially when they go overboard and just try to milk it as much as possible. That is story-based content - cosmetic DLC I can live without.

Same here. Would rather wait for a GOTY edition than buying half completed game

I personally find it annoying when the game shoves them in your face.
It's fine if there are DLC available but you have to go looking for them.
