I've played This War of Mine and really enjoyed it! To a point. If you love games where you forage for supplies like Neo Scavenger and Dead State - some of my favourite games of the like! - give this one a try.
The only thing you need to be prepared for is the emotional toll it might take, trying to keep your survivors fed and going yet another day in a wartorn city. I was lucky my first playthrough in that my first character somehow made it to the end, although sadly her two companions didn't survive. The game might seem unfair and even harsh sometimes, but I think it does a good job simulating the uncertainties one faces in that situation. It did educate me and made me think about the civilians trapped in the crossfire of conflict. I did say I enjoyed the game "to a point", because it can be a bit harrowing seeing all the crap your survivors go through day to day ;D
I'll buy and gift this to whoever wins (this is my first time not having a key handy!)

Thanks for the giveaway: I've had my eye on this in the context of using video games in the classroom. But because I'm nowhere near putting down plans to integrate them--can you require students to have a computer capable of playing a certain game, or how would you ensure you can provide access for those who do not?--I haven't sprung for it.

I personally think this is one of those games that would give the full effect if each student were to have their own computer while playing the game, but it could be effective with small groups per comp too. Like up to five. Just my two cents :)
And hey, I'm all for using video games to teach! It has helped my autistic stepson more than anything else.
