A lot of that is ultimately due to bots. Some people run bots that auto join giveaways, some of those bots just spam a generic "thanks" message. Many people get annoyed with all of the generic messages creating notifications that they ask that people not post at all.
When people join a giveaway, they do not say anything? It seems weird...

Bots in a website like this one? Wow! Why people do that? Is this the reason why i read in the forums many threads about the "whitelist" thing?
