So, I should forewarn you, that my musical tastes are very across the board. I mean, I can go from listening to Country to Rap to Classical. I mean, rollercoaster type preferences. This next song hits close to home for me because I watched it play out in my grandpa's life before he passed away in 2013. He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and fought it until the end, but during that fight he developed a certain "sweetness" if you will, that I had never seen in him before. He hugged me more and told me he loved me every chance he got. He took every opportunity to do good to other's every chance he got and he was every representation of what I would want to be if ever I was in his shoes near the end of my life. And with that story I leave you with this my friends: Someday I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying.
"And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying'"

I've never really been a fan of Country, but ever since I've heard it, this song has always struck a chord with me for its message and meaning, and every now and then, I'll find myself singing it out of the blue. Too many times, we look back at our past with regrets of things we should have said or done differently, of chances we should have taken, or kindness that we should have shown, and we don't always get second chances, and this song is symbolic of being that person who you want to be today, because you might not get a tomorrow.
