FIRST! and you, sir, are a gentleman with a fine taste in movies.

Judging from the speed you made it through this puzzle, I can only return this compliment. :-)
Good luck!

thanks! it's always good to meet a fellow movie-crazed soul on the internets!

Made it!
I've literally seen all these movies except the Groucho Marx one. Had to figure that out.

Congrats and good luck!

Also, you gave a crapload of hints for City of Women. It'll be the one to hold people up, as he looks exactly like Gary Oldman from Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. I had honestly confused them for a few minutes, till I remembered the specific scene.
Also, Treasure of Sierra madre will hold people up due to being in german.

even in German (and with a beard) Humphrey Bogart is Humphrey Bogart.

Done! Gonna put in my favorites because I don't have enough points. Tomorrow I'll try the bonus one! :)

Thanks for this great quiz and the giveaway!
Wasn't too easy, wasn't too hard. :)

Glad to hear that. :-)
Good luck!

Thank you, that was fun =) It was easier than BrutoDetestsSB's quiz, but maybe that's just me getting used to it.

my being a film critic may have been a handicap

Thanks for the quiz, it was fun to do. I've never seen Ghost World so that tripped me up a bit. First I was going through child movie stars but somehow didn't recognize Scarlett Johannson when I was doing it, so that was a bust. I also couldn't quite catch the lyrics in the songs but finally hit onto something that gave me results.
The other ones didn't give me too much trouble.

Made it through. That was fun. Now to wait on points. Thanks!

Wow that took quite some time. That was an awesome puzzle! Thanks for the giveaway

I've seen only 3 of them, but I'm here. Long but easy enough. Thanks.

Made it. :) Thanks for the fun puzzle and the giveaway, Reineke! I was stuck on the very last one for a while without recognizing it at all, trying to Google different context clues. I finally started googling around the chalk M, saw the result, and thought "nah, it couldn't be that simple, could it?"

Nice. Once again, just like with Bruto quiz, I solved it with educated guesses and googling. I only saw This Is Spinal Tap, though it is one of my favourites.
Thanks for the quiz and the giveaway!

Spinal Tap is an amazing movie but in hindsight I should have put to position 11. ;-)
Good luck!

Thank you for a fine quiz and a nice choice of movies. Now I just need to find time to watch Dead Man finally.

Great quiz, not too hard, not too easy. Thank you. I'm hardly a movie buff and I haven't seen most of them, but it's a good opportunity to note down few titles.

Haha, I got the last one from the thumbnail. Awesome movie. Thanks for the puzzaway!
Now onto the other one!

Thanks ReinekeFuchs, I have seen Dead Man more than twice in different puzzles, as chour said, it's time to watch the movie :P

Thank you for the puzzle. I'm glad I could be on the other side as solver this time, instead of puzzle creator. It doesn't look hard for me, I solved many questions identifying the actors (although I missed Johnny Depp, a very easy one), the rest using Google. The one film I saw is The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, really a great film. I wanted it for my puzzle as well but I was lacking of a handy video file.

Thank you. It was quite hard if you don't know the actors or haven't seen the movie. Actors & theme helped.
Thank you

Huh, that was much easier than Bruto's puzzle for sure, especially since many of the movies were in english and I could search for quotes/names easily. The only one that I recognized immediately was A Scanner Darkly, but I haven't actually watched any of the movies in this quiz. I'm no movie buff!

Fitzcarraldo! great flick

Nice amount of Peter Lorre, Maltese Falcon and M were pretty much instantly identified.

Hahaha, those are indeed some nasty "creatures" in the title of the seventh movie!
Thank you very much for the entertaining quiz and some cool racing action!
