I like it when people say thank you, but I can understand how if you have several GA going at the same time it can become a bit much. Although I think that blacklisting for simply saying thank you is going way to far...

I think commenting still makes sense and it's nice to thank generous people for just... being generous. Though lately I've been lazy on commenting on public giveaways, group/private/forum gets my comment. Thanks a lot for the chance!

As for your question about commenting about give away, Ill say its ok to me even my giveaways have zero comments. What really matter is giving away, not harvesting comments.
