Hey man,
I'm Mdk, Admin of a group called Quality Games Giveaways (QGG).
I've noticed you as someone who is active in SteamGifts, and likes to giveaway (and win) high quality games. And I think you will be a good fit for the group.
I started the group, because I didn’t like the fact that any decent game in SteamGifts gets so many entries, you have virtually no chance of winning, and the games you do have a chance to win, are not very good. In our group, all games are at least of decent quality, and you have a good chance to win each one.
You can see a sample of the games given away in the group here: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/jMqJT/quality-games-giveaways-qgg-group-special-september-ga-middle-earth-shadow-of-war
And full group rules can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/QGG-Group/discussions/0/1694919808756635525/

Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers,
Mdk

Hi, I have some questions.

As you can see, my high quality gibs aren't regular, since I'm making giveaway when I spared some pennies. So is it possible for example to skip a month twice in a row (after new member giveaway ofc)? You maybe concern about me entering group giveaways when I'm not supposed to, but I'm always checking which group's giveaway is it, since I'm member of Unlucky7, Playing Appreciated and Playing Matters - so entering blindly would case breaking rules, so remembering that I can't enter gibs from specific group is not a problem. Also I would to know how you count a month period. For example, if giveaway is created at May 24th, you can enter gibs at May 1st-31st, May 24th - June 23rd or June 1st - 30th?

Because of that I can't make giveaway anytime I want, I really "concern" sorry, English is not my native language and I don't know if "concern" fits here, but I wish you know what I mean about better gibs I make, and till now all was given in groups where they need to be played. So I'm curious how is it enforced in this group, since I read that "If a giveaway is QGG-only, the gifter/creator is allowed to require the winner to play/finish the game within a set amount of time.". I mean, if someone will brake such rule he will be kicked, warned or what? Also why it is allowed if a giveaway is QGG-only? If I would share giveaway with playing matters, where game needs to be beat within 3 months, I can't set the same or less strict rule for QGG too?

What about members I already blacklisted? I had my "minimum played games rule" but after some time I realized that there is too much users who aren’t playing games, so I don't mind removing them, but it would be sad to get kicked because I overlooked someone.

To be clear - I'm not applying yet, I want to hear answer first and need to wait a bit for more money to spend for games. :) Also I know that my English is weak, so if you don't know what I'm saying just let me know - I will try to clarify it. Also if you don't like my question (in any way) and because of it don't want me in group - just say, I will not mad/sad/angry.

  • So is it possible for example to skip a month twice in a row (after new member giveaway ofc)?
Yes, as long as you don't enter any giveaways, you're automatically tagged as inactive user, and will not be hackled about creating a monthly.
  • Also I would to know how you count a month period. For example, if giveaway is created at May 24th, you can enter gibs at May 1st-31st, May 24th - June 23rd or June 1st - 30th?
May 24th is actually a bad example, because all monthly GAs need to end by the 25th, and last at least 3 days (this is so people who's monthly didn't get any entries have time to create a new one).
But in general, a monthly you create in May 1st - 22nd, is a may Monthly GA, which means you can enter as many GAs in the month of May as you want (keeping a positive group ratio of course).
  • if someone will brake such rule he will be kicked, warned or what?
He will be warned, and in some cases kicked (if he tries to lie about it, if he was already warned because of other things, etc.)
  • Also why it is allowed if a giveaway is QGG-only? If I would share giveaway with playing matters, where game needs to be beat within 3 months, I can't set the same or less strict rule for QGG too?
The reason being, I can't enforce rules on GAs that span multiple groups.
For example a GA can be for QGG and FakeGroup, and a member that wins is in both groups. So should he be forced to play because he's a member of QGG? Or be free not to play because he's a member of FakeGroup? I don't have an answer... Both are valid...
So the easiest is to make the rule only for QGG GAs.
Moreover, most of the really expensive full-price games, are created as group only GAs as is, so it's not really a dilemma in most cases.
If it's that important to you, I can change the rule to allow other "Playing Required" groups.
  • What about members I already blacklisted?
You can go over list of existing users and unblacklist them (there are not that many).
If you missed someone, they will talk to me (or you) and you can unblacklist them then.

Your questions are all good (so is your English).
And I don't expect you to apply immediately. As soon as you're ready, drop us a line in the recruitment thread:

And of course, if you have any additional questions - feel free...

Oh, I see. I always thought that if winner belongs to other group that giveaway is for, he can choose which group rules he wants to obey. Giveaway creator should be aware, that adding group with no rules will be a way to avoid other group's rules. And I asked this question, because if I will join QGG, I will do QGG only gibs, but I would also add QGG members for my Playing Matters “only” giveaways – as long as winner will play a game I don’t mind giving additional chances for QGG members. Therefore it would be nice, if adding playing requirement to non-exclusive giveaways would be allowed.

So I think I will join your group (even if you will not change rules), but I need to wait a bit for money. I will send a message in recruiting thread when I'm ready. :)

Thanks for answering my questions.
