Very true, love both those shows too (the 7th doctor being the last real Doctor if you ask me, though I suppose Peter McGann's 8th Doctor wasn't as lame as the new lot lol)

Hey you actually knew what my crazy ramblings meant! I don't know, I liked David Tennant, but I definitely liked the story format of the old ones better. Fourth was the best of the lot of the old ones, sadly have not seen much of the first two.

Yeah, Tom Baker is pretty much THE DOCTOR in my opinion...absolute classic Doctor, so many great episodes too. Peter Davison (5th Doctor) is probably my next favourite. Haven't seen all the 1st and 2nd Doctor's episodes, but they are both still pretty good Doctors themselves, though Patrick Troughton (the 2nd) is far superior to William Hartnell in my opinion. Every one of the first 7 Doctors is quite good basically. :)

Wasn't a big fan of the 6th, and I knew the 5th from All Creatures Great and Small, so it was hard to see him as a non-Veterinarian Doctor! Third was the first I ever seen.

Yes, quite liked Jon Pertwee as well. Loved the various vehicles he had with the Who-# license plates and stuff. Some interesting episodes with the master...quite liked the episode with the machine at the prison that took all the violent and dark thoughts out of criminals minds and made them docile and non-violent...which of course in turn made the machine itself insanely evil and powerful when it absorbed all the evil thoughts into its own "mind". hehe

I still don't get the 4th Doctor's Logic in Genesis of the Daleks. The "infant" Daleks were innocent, but he also knew that there was no free will for them so they would ultimately go on a killing spree. He could have stopped the Daleks right there, but he took the genocide to be wrong. Which is understandable, but still, so many more lives will be lost through his inaction!

He explained that at the end of the episode, that not only could he just not handle the idea of genocide, no matter the reason...he pointed out all the times various species in the universe would come together to fight the daleks, so that in their own misguided way they are almost a force for good in the universe, just by being so dangerous and aggressive. As a kid I always kind of figured he should of just destroyed the daleks because they were evil, but even when I was younger after watching the episode many times over, I really came to understand why he made the decision he did, and I think it was the right one to make at the time, for the reasons he gave.
