Description

You can't have it unless you have it on your wishlist, post a picture of your girlfriend (or yourself, if you are female) stark naked and pay me $1500 unmarked dollars!

JUST KIDDING! I'm not one of those guys that makes out like he's better than everyone else by making demands of you. This is a giveaway site! I'm giving away shit!

EDIT: They're a penny each, so if you feel bad about the STARVING INDIE DEVELOPERS or THE CHILDREN WITHOUT CONSOLE GAMES, pick somewhere else. :D

EDIT2: Look at this: http://i.imgur.com/Te9JY.png before whiteknighting.

Wow, thanks!

It's lucky that I decided to give all that penny to Child's Play, so they don't have to.

If you think no one else "thought of it", like it is some brilliant idea, then that is pretty sad. We are all aware that we can pay $0.01. But we don't. Because we have morals, and we know its not the right thing to do.

If you saw a street vendor selling loaves of bread for "any price you want", would you pay $0.01 for each and buy out the whole stand? If you did, that vendor would go home that night with no money, even though his product cost him time and money to produce. That is not fair. He is kind enough to let you set your own price, yet you take his kindness and throw it all out the window. Whatever happened to helping out your fellow man? It seems like people these days would rather step on everyone else and destroy livelihoods just to to get the smallest of personal reward. One day you will wake up, a mature man, and realize what an asshole you have been to those around you.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I would go home with a full belly and a mind empty of guilt.

Also, I'm lolling at you implying people have not always acted like this. Why do you think we even have a monetary system in the first place?

See, there's the thing. They have themselves covered on this. They have done it THREE TIMES already. If they didn't know they would make a massive profit, they wouldn't do it.

Do you get it, yet?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You will justify this in any twisted way you can to keep yourself from feeling guilty, wont you? What you did is wrong. If you cannot at least see and understand that, then you live by a very disturbing moral code.

Mind if I ask your age and country of residence? Because I think I have a pretty good idea already...

Murdering defenceless youths at a summer camp.

You know what else is objectively wrong?

Torturing animals.

You know what ISN'T objectively wrong?

Paying £0.01 for the HIB.

You... are just pathetic. I mean, really sad. Do you think you're all high and mighty for doing this? It actually makes you look like a low life scum.

Do YOU know why we have a monetary system? From the sounds of it, you're talking out of your ass.

Profit or not, its for a CHARITY. They would lose money if it all went to the charity.

the thing is we're not talking about a man with bread. we would of course pay more for it.

we're talking about something that already got over 200.000 USD in "pay what you want".

Alright, so Some other guys pay tax... you shouldn't.

Someone else bought all the food you bought already, you shouldn't have to pay for it.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Oh, so when something makes over $200,000 that means we are allowed to stop paying for it, and everyone gets it for free? Sorry, but that is terrible justification.

Do the math. Take the $200,000, subtract paypal/google/etc fees. Split that between 5 developers, 2 charities and the humble tip. Now each developer gets to pay taxes on those earnings too. The amount that is left over, is likely not even enough to cover the developers costs for making those games. You know, food, rent, paying artists, lost wages, etc. The developers put a lot of money and tons of time into making these games. Right now they have not broke even yet.

You do realise that the original HIB made less than $200,000 (about $150,000, in fact), it was pirated by 1/3 of the people that downloaded it (the link was unsecured) and yet they still made $110,000 which they considered worth it to do it THREE MORE TIMES?

What is wrong with this guy?

RF, I thought you were a better person than that. The fact that you paid a penny for it doesn't really matter to me--but that you're responding to people the way you are makes me a little sad. ;_;

Thanks for the giveaway anyways. I purchased it on my own, but good luck to everyone else who's entering.

You guys realize that HIB is now marked as charity, so paypal doesn't charge any fees, any amount anyone pays goes directly to them, no loss.

just fyi.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You realize that Paypal doesn't care and still charges them money, since that usually is almost a dollar they actually lose money through people like RF.

just fyi.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

If you think what RF is doing is wrong, then ask HumbleBundle to put a limit on how little you can pay. But then that'd go against the whole "pay what YOU want" aspect of it, wouldn't it? Hmm.. I suppose it would!

Well, I have no nudies of myself that I care to share. And I already have the bundle. But I can do the 1500 unmarked dollars. provides a stack of blank paper rectangles You did want them unmarked by the government too, right?

Comment has been collapsed.

If they're unmarked by the government, they're not dollars.

But 1500 blank pieces of paper that are exactly the same shape and size would do as a curiosa for my ATRIUM OF CAPITALIST DOOM (which I definitely have according to all the Humble Indie Knights floating around Steam) and so I will take them off your hands.

Anyone who gains me this woman's STACK OF BLANK PAPERS will get THEIR OWN COPY OF HUMBLE INDIE BUNDLE #3!

Thanks for the giveaway RF. It's a very true point, if they didn't want people to buy for one cent each they wouldn't allow it (seriously, how hard would it be to program a minimal value price simply to cover the transaction fee? I bet I could whip something up in about 10 minutes that would work, though it'd be in a different language than would be usable.)

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's not that they can't put a minimum price. It's that its supposed to be "pay anything you want", because people always say "oh that price is too much, but I would pay this price for it". But you are not SUPPOSED to pay $0.01, because that is being a dick. Notice the graphic they show you when you enter less than a dollar? And the text: "Oh it looks like you have no heart".

Don't be so naive.

He bought 300 copies
300 x 1 cent = obviously 300 cents
300 cents = USD 3,00
