Hey moo64c,
There is another person on this site that made a game that people could create special giveaways of their own in, a sort of MUD with a graphical interface. His thread: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/65NrT/introducing-swords-puzzles-make-your-own-dungeons-full-of-secrets-mysteries-and-giveaways
Back then I suggested an idea, but he did not want to adjust his game for a fear people might get confused.
My idea was quite simple:
Good old battleship :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battleship_(game)
On a 10x10 grid of squares you hide one or several 5 character giveaway codes and a few fake shorter codes, and people have to try "sink" the code. It could work with a Steam login and they get a certain amount of tries only, if they fail, too bad...or it resets and they can try again. It could be randomly generated so nobody gets the same playing field, so they can't just share/spoil the location of the "ships"
That's it, I'm hiding it here cos I thought it was pretty awesome and don't want others to steal my idea :P

Hi m3rc,
lol @ the hiding, but nice way to send messages here :)
I played a few of those game of sWords and got really lost... I also think the graphic interface is slightly off putting - so he has a lot of work to put into it.
I do like your idea as I'm mostly searching for ways to learn Canvas (which is graphics stuff for web browsers) and taking on small projects like those is the best way to learn :)
I'm gonna put your idea at the top right now. I'm still in the idea collection stage so please be patient. :)
