The Moriya Shrine (守矢神社 Moriya Jinja) is a shrine dedicated to Shintoism that originated from the Outside world and was transported into Gensokyo by Kanako Yasaka, Goddess of wind and rain, during the start of the events of Mountain of Faith. The shrine is now located somewhere near the top of Youkai Mountain with the Divine Lake that was also transported with it.

This shrine is home to Sanae Kochiya, whose role is similar to a Shrine Maiden, and its resident gods Kanako Yasaka and Suwako Moriya, Goddess of mountains. Both the kappa and tengu have come to accept Kanako as a resident god and now live in peace. As the shrine gets few visitors, its primary source of income comes from selling bits of technology from the outside world to kappa.

The shrine is also frequently visited by the Ice Fairy Cirno, whose hobby is mainly freezing Suwako's frogs.
