Description

Hello everyone! Welcome to the master microbiologist race. :B I'm here to guide you into the (food microbial) ecology part of the science event created by jeffhowe.
First of all, here's a free giveaway for you for the game INK. It's a humble bundle key, so, if you win, you'll find the humble bundle link in your won giveaways. Also, you can ask me here for ANY hint you want for my puzzles and I'll be glad to help. Don't be shy. xD
So, for each puzzle of mine you solve (3 in total), you'll find 2 giveaways (so, 6 in total, plus a bonus giveaway from jeffhowe). The games that I'm giving away get gradually better for each puzzle you solve, so if you don't like the first ones, don't worry, you'll find far better giveaways on the way. And don't worry, my giveaways are never level restricted.
So, here's the first puzzle of mine.

Wow, why nobody wants some hints? :B

Okay, I'll bite. :D
Solved everything except Q2. I tried all the bacteria I could find related to kefir, including the one that fits the hint (Xxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and also a strain of it that adds a letter and a number to its name).

Hehe, don't worry, I'll help you. Now, seriously, I just googled the words "kefir microorganisms" and the microorganism you're searching for, showed up. ;P I did the same with "kefir unique microorganism" and it showed up again. Just remember that the microorganism's name, or at least a part of it, is almost similar to the word "kefir". So, don't go trying with microorganisms named like "Lactococcus lactis". And no, wikipedia doesn't have its name. You're searching for a BACTERIUM that is UNIQUE to kefir.

Does that mean you're only looking for "lactis" in the example you gave? Is that true for all questions (except Q5)? Having a hard time with Q1, trying different alternatives with the two bacterias I have.

I failed to understand you. o.O Please elaborate. xD The first question is simple. There are 2 specific bacteria commonly used for the production of yogurt.

You just gave the example "Lactococcus lactis". In that example, would it only be "lactis" we are looking for. I used your example instead of the answers I have, since I don't want to spoil anything.

No, no. When I'm asking for a species, you'll write, for example, Escherichia coli, not only coli. :P

Hey!! I remember how much fun it was having you in the Science event as a puzzle creator... here's a chance at another event I'm doing-- hope you can return with designing a puzzle!!

Hey! Thank you. :3 Well, there are a few reasons making me unable to make a puzzle because:
1) I have kinda stopped making giveaways since the implementation of the steam gift restrictions, while I also have no means to buy steam keys, so I rarely find ones to give away.
2) I'm not much into steamgifts and puzzles lately. xD
3) I have visited both the Acropolis and the White Tower, but I don't have much knowledge about them. I'm mostly into science rather than history.

Sure no problem... it runs from Oct - Jan 2019 weekly so if anything changes we will be here...

Would be interesting to know the science and math. Rhonda the pyramids of Egypt for example..
