Description

Here is my contribution for March's Science Puzzle Event!

If you have any questions or need some help just write a comment and I might give you a hint ;)

To the winner: I won't be home before 2 hours after the ga ends.. but if you want you coud already add me on steam :3

...Still can't figure out Q10 :(
...Also, stuck at Q4. I think the problem here, is, for me, the wording: I don't really understand the question, google translate/google in general just sends me off to mainly financial things, which ain't exactly helping. :/

...For, uhm, 2,5 hours now.

Anyways, thanks a LOT for the effort of creating the puzzle to begin with! It's fun, and I actually learned something :D

for Q10: maybe there is something else that shows up when you complete the jigsaw and that's the right answer to the question :)
for Q4: I also realized that the solution is quite difficult to find via google.. just try finding synonyms for the two strategies explained in the hint.. I would say these words could be used in standard english, too :)

hope these tips will help you ! And sorry that I couldn't reply sooner, was in school the whole day^^

I guess I will come back after further hints for Q4 :|

well I must admit the answer to Q4 is hard to find if you haven't read something about that topic before or studied psychology :D
so just try some synonyms for the two strategies I explained in the hint..
it's hard to find better hints that don't make answering too easy :P

but I'm gonna try and find some better hints in the next few days^^

Could you try to come up with a few synoniems for what you mean with 'developmental expenses?' I think, for me at least, the main problem is I've got trouble figuring out what you mean with it.

I... Actually pulled out my developmental and basic psychology books, asked 2 socialworkers and they all looked at me like 'Ye... Have fun with that!' Just by quickly going over the keywords at the back of the book, or re-re-reading the chapters about the most popular theory's of people didn't help.
(Though, granted, the one I showed it last night to was already quite intimidated with my stack of organic chemistry books/the chemistry quizzes I was trying)

For Q4 I think I understand the question... but "expense" usually refers to money so maybe that's where confusion is coming from. Is it asking for two types of parenting strategies for dealing with child behavior?

For Q7 I exhausted a long list of answers that I thought "this must be the right one" but none were. :P But I solved the rest without hints, so 8/10 success isn't so bad. ;)

oh shit.. I'm sorry I didn't read correctly while searching for the english translation :P
I meant something like developmental challanges, so problems you have to face during development
I'll try to come up with an excample if you want :)

and for Q7 it's basically just another word for independence^^

The format to Q4 is '[Word1], [Word2]' right?
(I'm about 60% sure I've got the second word correct)

Got Q7, thanks. I almost had it correct yesterday (same idea) but not the exactly correct word.

I think I know basically the answer for Q4 but haven't found the right combination of words. I've tried lots of synonyms. :)

Stuck at:

  • Q2 - tried different names (they vary according to source 2-3 words)
  • Q6 - tried a lot of things and no luck QQ

Any hints? :D

well the answer for Q2 consists of 3 words and its really easy to find in the corresponding wikipedia article.. just try around a bit :)
format for Q6 is "word word, word word" should also be really easy to find^^

if you're still having trouble with finding the answer after some time, i'll try to find some better hints

the two words I'm searching for in Q4 are used in the german text
if you skim it it's probably not to hard to find the two inglish words :P
If you're still struggling I can try to give more hints :)

and fixed the typo :D

umm well if you already have the six letters it really shouldn't be hard to form a sentence imo :o
but if you need another hint, the sentence I'm searching for is the title of a german thriller published in 2014 - you can easily find it on imdb :)

actually I haven't heard about it before and the film sounds interesting.. thanks :D
